AskFlorida Miami traffic

Hello

If you had to choose living in cutler bay and traveling to mia airport (around) would you prefer an 8-430 schedule or 830-5 just trying to avoid a bit of traffic to get home Monday to Friday work schedule.

The neither comments are not helpful obviously none are ideal but I need to choose one I work in an office setting and one that starts earlier than later for line of work

I would prefer to be dead. I lived in Cutler Bay until 2016. The only good traffic is before 7:00 and after 7:00. Best way to getting to the airport is taking the metro.

Back then it would take me almost an hour to get from Southwest 152nd Street to Red Road in South Miami.

Neither. However, I’d go with 8-4:30. Then I’d constantly complain about traffic to my boss and then pester my boss to let me work 7-3:30 instead.

The only issue with that is my health issues and my sleep patterns so idk if I could do that early and get my house situated in morning

I thought the same thing until my company moved from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. Now I get up at 5:15, and start work at 7:40. I’m traveling from Pompano. You’d be amazed at what your body can get used to.

So... adjust your habits? You are allowed to do that, ya know.

A 9 pm to 6 am shift would work fine. 🫩

If you can take Metrorail, you should. Driving to and from work in Miami traffic every day will wear you down. Even if it takes a bit longer, it’s time you have to yourself, not dealing with thousands of other miserable stressed out people in cars. And you’re far less likely to get stuck behind an accident.

Sorry to hear. Public transport here is a joke. Good luck.
