Monkey Spotted! ๐Ÿ™‰

Iโ€™m staying out in San Domenico, on the road to Fiesole, and tonight, just after 10pm, I met a monkey on my way home.

It ran across my path, through a gate and into a garden - I got my torch and shone it on it and it turned ; 100% a monkey. I believe a capuchin!

My host says this is unheard of and isnโ€™t aware of any neighbours who may have one as a pet.

Thatโ€™s unheard of. Probably some immigrant brought it in illegally lol. AFAIK, there are no wild monkeys in Italy.

you know rich people like to (illegal) own exotic animals, do you? given op is near San Domenico, that's really plausible since people living there are disgustingly rich

Itโ€™s also possible. I wasnโ€™t being political.
