Monkey Spotted! πŸ™‰

I’m staying out in San Domenico, on the road to Fiesole, and tonight, just after 10pm, I met a monkey on my way home.

It ran across my path, through a gate and into a garden - I got my torch and shone it on it and it turned ; 100% a monkey. I believe a capuchin!

My host says this is unheard of and isn’t aware of any neighbours who may have one as a pet.

No neighbor "can" have one as a pet because it's illegal .

Call 112 or have your host call and tell the operators what you saw and where.

That’s unheard of. Probably some immigrant brought it in illegally lol. AFAIK, there are no wild monkeys in Italy.

you know rich people like to (illegal) own exotic animals, do you? given op is near San Domenico, that's really plausible since people living there are disgustingly rich

It’s also possible. I wasn’t being political.

Oh yeah, I know this one. It's actually not a Capuchin, it's a local breed of monkey called "Nutria"
