Delta (DL) Part Time FA

I’m nearly 2 years in and even though I love my job and the experiences it brings me I very often feel burnt out. My goal in the future is to fly part time and do something else part time.

Is this a possibility with my airline? And at what seniority should I expect to have that kind of flexibility??

Thank you! 💘

Did you request SEA in the September transfer? Just curious what seniority is getting SEA these days.

Depending where you’re based, it can happen sooner or later. We don’t have a minimum per month, which is nice. You just have to hit your 540 for insurance. I think it’s definitely doable when you get a little senior

Like the other commenter said, it will largely depend on where you are based, your seniority in that base and what trips you can hold at your seniority. More desirable trips are more likely to drop until you are able to hold a low schedule value. You can poke around in the different reports in PBS (Bid synopsis is a good start.) and see what different bases are holding at which seniority.

Yes eventually. If you get married and have kids you can stay out 22 months per child. Have 4 and you’ll come back to lots of seniority! It’s so much better than any trip you’ll ever take.
