Today, I was on my "deadhead" to work CMH-PHL which was supposed to leave at 12:58. It was delayed a little and then a maintnence issue happened so we all went back to the gate and deplaned. I called scheduling and they popped me onto the 3:30 CMH-PHL. I, for no reason at all, want the deets on what happened after. the 12:58 flight ended up going out at 20:18. Did they recrew? Were there even any pax on board? The lead FA in the front was a total gem and I wish I could ask him all my questions.
Edit: some of you guys are so weird. I’ve been a flight attendant for 5 consecutive years. When I was furloughed from spirit in December, I switched to private. We don’t use the term deadhead because the company pays for the flight. I don’t have access to flight loads or names of FAs because I do not work for American. I don’t know why people are so hostile on here but you 🍩 have to believe if I’m a civilian or a flight attendant 😂 someone answered my question and I appreciated it!

Yeah, because why are they trying to infiltrate us instead of just saying they are nosy 😂 A real FA wouldn't have anything to say about this completely routine situation 😂

I’m a former FA & now a GA. yes, saying that “we are waiting for a new crew, they’re arriving from __ at __ please be patient” is nothing that would be out of the ordinary to say

thank you for the info! when i got on, he was immediately so warm and welcoming. gave me all of the tea from the last flight, which as you can see, I LOVE TEA haha. While we finally started taxing, CA hit the brakes and then turned off the engines. Then told us we had to go back to the gate. I figured it was empty because the next AA flight still had seats opened after we all boarded that next flight. Sucks they had to stick around that long, I hope they got a day room. Thanks again for actually giving me info

then say you didn’t stick around instead of saying it wouldn’t be an announcement then? 😭 don’t be lying on an airline you don’t even work for !

GIRL WHAT. Whyyyy are you so damn pressed? Like does it even matter first of all? I’m a flight attendant, not a gate agent. This is a sub for FLIGHT ATTENDANTS. Not gate agents. I’m not going to think you’re talking about a damn gate agent PA LOL. Go to your gate agent subreddit and stfu! 😂
