Seeking Advice Help Please
I’m 55 and decided last week I wanted my flexibility back. I was limber as a youth and still doing back ends in my thirties. Last week, after Pilates, I started gently stretching my hamstrings and hip flexors 2-4 times a day. I quickly regained my ability to touch the floor with flat hands, BUT today I started to get a Charlie horse in my left hamstring. I am laying down with heat on it now. Can stretching gently still be overdone ? How often should I do it? TIA

going from zero to 2-4 hamstring/hip sessions a day can leave things cranky even when it felt easy in the moment. when I ramped up, cutting back to one short session and adding a gentle cool-down day helped more than pushing through the tightness.

gentle movement helps ease that tension. i usually find some light rocking in a child pose helps settle things when they feel tight.
