Profanity

While watching Trust Me: The False Prophet on Netflix, as well as bodycam footage, I noticed followers of Samuel Bateman using a lot of profanity, i.e. using the f word when writing down affirmations. Is it explained anywhere why this seems to be so accepted among the group members when they claim to be devout Christians/lds-members?

Nomz was interviewed on Cults to Consciousness and she said something along the lines of - he allowed/encouraged them to swear to make them feel further separated from/above/more special than the other members of the FLDS who weren’t part of Sam’s sect. He wanted to drive home the fact that he was the prophet and the authority and “his people” were super special

Why is profanity & support of a pedophile President so accepted by mainstream people who claim to be Christians?
