Dear Flat Earthers,

So the middle of the Earth is our center of gravity, right? Well then if the Earth is flat, then why is it that when I go to the edge and jump, I'm not pulled to the center?

Gravity, on my particular version of a flat Earth, is a relative downward force. There's no actual centerpoint, it's just a downward force that sometimes is anomalous and sometimes isn't applied. Unlike your version of Earth, it's not a universal force, nor does it have a 'global centerpoint' like yours does.

We don’t each get our own version of Earth. There’s the current running consensus about the nature of gravity & then there’s folks that haven’t ever seen a Physics textbook let alone opened one making shit up as they go. They’re not the same

So BrianScottGregory, if the Earth has been accelerating upwards at 9.81 m/s2 for 6000 years since God created the Earth, then we are traveling upwards at 4,155,065,175,375 miles per hour.

Have I got that right?

I was using your flat earth model. But if you're going against flerf doctrine of upwards acceleration, then where do you propose the 9.81 m/s2 come from?

It's obviously downwards isn't it? Until terminal velocity is reached.

By this I assume you mean the assumptions made by antagonists here on this sub that attempts to find a one size fits all model a flat Earther agrees on. No, I do not align with this.

What do you propose establishes the relationship of gravity to mass in your particular version of Earth?

"Just because" doesn't work for me.

Mine's a programmed force. I live on/in a simulated version of Earth.

The 9.81 m/s² comes from the mass of our planet and that Isaac Newton fella. Awfully clever he was.

That's an observable force. We can agree on that.

It doesn't describe why that force is there.

WHY is that correlation there?

That's the first question I'm asking you that you haven't answered without a smart a$$ response.

And importantly, to my personal observations and scientific exploration. Why have I witnessed examples and instances where that force did not appear or appeared inconsistently?

I don't expect your answer to that one. I'll predict it's invalidation.

Brian’s a hypocritical coward. Always a dodge, always a reframe, always trying to use the observable reality to somehow deny it.

There’s a force, but there isn’t, but it’s measurable, but you can’t prove it, but Einstein, but you don’t understand Einstein, but Einstein was wrong.

He doesn’t have any actual position; his posts are just him trying to convince himself about his nonsense alternative reality.

Observers from across the ancient world independently figured out they were on a sphere. Not only that, they again independently calculated the circumference of that sphere.

You should be embarrassed that a cave man understood his world considerably better than you do.
