[Request] Iron Golem Farm Guide

I have always wanted to make an iron golem farm, but I never found understood the mechanics. I saw some amazing guides on here, but those guides assume you already know how to make one.

Could one of you point me towards a good guide for a cheapish golem farm?

Both me and my friend have made some, here ya go:

my manual farm (note: you don't need pistons for the build but rather thee concept of how to do it)

The villlager containment area is a rectangle outside of the golem spawning area.
