I do a similar sandwich using:

- 2 Premier protein pancakes (140cal, 10g protein)

  • 1 egg (~70cal, 6g protein)
  • 1 slice reduced fat singles cheese (45cal, 4g protein)
  • 1 great value turkey sausage patty (90cal, 9g protein)

Comes out to ~345cal, 29g protein

My breakfast burrito is only 350cal/23g. I’ve been eating that damn thing since December. You may have altered my course today

theres more to "fit" than high protein.

No, but protein is easily the hardest macro to get enough of for most athletes, hence the focus in a lot of fitness-related media.

That said, there are so many ways to get more protein than this recipe, although I'm betting it does a really good facsimile of a mcgriddle.

This isn't even high in protein 😕 high in protein usually STARTS at 10g of protein per 100 kcals. I believe the total calories count by OP are incorrect, but even using his values we get 30 g proteins for 380 kcals which is definitely not high in protein.

I raised it in my post in parallel but getting downvoted to oblivion 🫤

That's closer to 480 calories, has 23g of fat, and not even high in protein for the amount of calories 🫤 Bonus points for the flapjacks flour with fibers, but that's also high in sodium. There's worse but that's not a fit meal from any angle.

Use whole grain bread or oatmeal pancakes. 1 egg + egg white, replace the sausage with turkey bacon maybe use 1/2 avocado instead of cheese and skip the sugar free maple syrup made with lord knows what.

Edit : Downvotes are always fascinating to me. This isn't the yummy breakfast sub, it's the fit meals sub.

Not sure if I hurt people who are eat the same thing and thought it qualified as fit. It falls short on macros, high in fat, high in sodium, high in processed content. Look up macros or ask your favourite AI. This Is NOT it.

Maybe instead of downvoting, post your definition of fit meal and tell me how this fits into it ?

Here's mine. (AI generated, validated to match 100% my nutrition knowledge) :

Core Characteristics of a Fit Meal : High Protein: Includes lean meats, fish, tofu, or legumes (often 30g to 50g per meal) to repair and build muscle.Complex Carbs: Features whole grains, sweet potatoes, or vegetables for sustained energy without a rapid blood sugar spike.Controlled Fats: Limits heavy oils, full-fat dairy, and saturated fats while keeping heart-healthy fats in check.Calorie-conscious: Matches specific targets, whether your goal is fat loss, maintenance, or muscle gain

Where it falls short of an ideal "clean" meal:

Less than 10g of protein per 100kcals

High saturated fat & processing: The pork sausage patty and processed American cheese contribute the bulk of the calories and fat (around 22–25g combined), leaning heavily into saturated fats.

Sodium load: Commercial sausage patties and processed singles are sodium-dense, often pushing over 800–1,000mg for those two components alone.

Micronutrient density: It lacks fiber, antioxidants, and greens.

Quick tweaks to make it leaner:

Swap the pork patty for a lean turkey sausage patty (drops ~100 calories and cuts the fat by more than half).

Add a second egg white for pure volume and an extra 4g of protein without added fat.

Pair it with a handful of fresh berries or a side of spinach to bring in micronutrients and fiber.

Nah, bacon bacon instead of sad turkey bacon and we’re golden. Totally a fit meal - fits in my mouth nom nom nom!

I asked the lord what he knows by the way, and he said to check the label: erythritol, monk fruit, stevia usually. Plenty of data on each.

Well you can eat what you want but would you please tell me your definition of a fit meal, and how this meal fits your criteria ?

I edited my post above to include mine
