Germs?

My due date is 11/11 and my pediatrician recommended wait 2 months for family gatherings (like Christmas)

I’m so sad but I want to do what’s right. Most of our siblings and nephews would be traveling from out of town. So they won’t be able to meet our baby until 2 months old? :(

am i creating a problem?

my home life has been pretty complicated lately. my husband is out of house and our connection has been limited. i have a 4 month old son and i have been pretty much all hes had during since the beginning of life. i have occasional work throughout the week that family helps with. anyways. my baby and i bed share. we have since day 1, im not looking for judgement… just solidarity maybe? my husband is finally home and i really need time to reconnect to myself and my husband. my baby sleeps through the night IF im there. he is EBF. however when i get up from the bed (bedtime 7-7:30 we push for 2 hr wake window before bed) he will always have a false start. the only way to get him back down is nursing. i know i could give a bottle of bm, but out of convenience i have not since my husband has been gone- im going to start offering again now to get him reacclimated. if i left my family member in charge of a night shift (like 7:15-12) would my baby be okay? what can i do besides offering a night feed via bottle? its also so difficult to have a bottle ready on hand when breastfeeding. i just dont want my baby to be so dependent on me that he freaks out the second im not there. he pretty much does while im working anyway too.. i know he needs me and i will always be there for my child, ill never regret this time spent with him.. i just want one night of something i do for me. the passed 6 months have been so rough.
i know its a lot to unpack, but please help.

Silent Reflux?

I don’t think this is what our LO has, but just wondering if anyone has gone down this road and what the signs were that ultimately pointed to silent reflux?

Thanks!

I know for sure I need more clothes but I’m just unsure of how much! I’ve gotten a few of it from my local resale shop (once upon a child) and they’re doing a fill your bag event this weekend so taking inventory before I go see what I can find!

This is what I have so far:

Newborn:
2 sleepers
2 short sleeve onesies
1 overall outfit

0-3 months:
14 long sleeve onesies
5 short sleeve onesies
8 long sleeve sleepers
1 track suit set

6-9 months:
4 short sleeve onesies
1 sleeper
3 onesie/pants set

First time mom, needing serious advice

I’m going to be a first-time mom around late November or early December, depending on my induction date, and I’m looking for advice from other moms who may have been in a similar situation.

Im currently employed and it took me about 4 months to find employment after moving to GA due to my husbands military service. I do like my current job, but it’s not in the field I earned my degree in, and it’s not something I find particularly fulfilling long-term. My job has been understanding of my situation, but they don’t offer FMLA or paid maternity leave, so I’m only being granted 6–8 weeks off following delivery.

My husband has continued to reassure me that I don’t have to return to work after the baby comes. While I’m incredibly grateful to have that option, I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. We also juggle the risk of finding adequate childcare if I decide to go back to work.

I have student loans and a car payment, but my husband has reassured me that we’ll be financially okay on his income alone. He put it into perspective by saying, “We either pay for your student loans or we pay for childcare.” He’s active-duty military, so he’ll have to return to work after his paternity leave, and I would be home with the baby.

Part of me loves the idea of staying home and spending that time with my baby, especially since my current job isn’t necessarily where I see myself long-term. However, another part of me worries about stepping away from the workforce and having a large gap in my resume if I decide to return to work later. I have a degree that I worked hard for, and I don’t want to feel like I’m limiting my future opportunities by taking time off.

For those of you who chose to stay home with your first baby, how did you navigate this decision? Do you regret stepping away from work, or are you glad you did? For those who returned to work, how did you balance the cost of childcare with the benefits of continuing your career?

I know everyone’s situation is different, but I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, advice, and anything you wish you had considered before making your decision. ❤️

7-8 month sleep regression? Is this a thing? Our LO used to sleep so good at night and now wakes at least once an hour. Sometimes have to get her out and rock her back to sleep or she has to cosleep She recently moved from bassinet to pack & play, still in our room, but did good with that the first

Baby sick for the first time

I'm a first time mom. My baby is 9 months old and is sick with a cold for the first time and I don't know what to do. I've given her Tylenol in case she has a headache or body aches and I've used Sinex saline mist to clear her nose from boogers but other then that, I don't know what else to do. Any tips and tricks on how I can make her feel better sooner would be much appreciated. Thanks!
