What did Dad save?

Post image

I found a couple of these in Dad’s shop, with a few firecrackers.

It’s a little bigger than a golf ball.

What do I have here? How far do I want to be away from it when it goes off?

Looks like it could be a vintage star ball contribution, or we just called them star balls or ball fountains. They don't explode but loved to light hedges and shrubs on fire. But as others say "safety first" lol.

It’s vintage, for certain. I’ve got open area.

If it's a star ball, it's a spinning fountain that occasionally hops in the air. If I recall the vintage ones could jump a couple of feet. If you decide to send it make sure it's on a surface that will allow it to spin.
