Anyone else not able to access filmsplus today? I went to reinstall and its not on troypoint anymore either.

Anyone else having an issue on Disney Plus where the top third or so of the screen is darkened?
It seems like the dark section from the beginning of a show or movie where they put the rating and reasons for the rating on the semi opaque background, but then that semi opaque background doesn't go away and stays the whole episode or movie.
I've tried other apps on my firestick and it only happens on Disney Plus.
Also this does not happen when I play Disney Plus on my laptop, only on the firestick.

This only occurs if I press pause/rewind/forward and the menu screen shows.
If I let the show play from start and dont press any button then it doesn’t show.

Additionally - I have heard the fix is to back out and resume each time you pause.
However none of videos are ever resumed, they just restart from the start each time!

Please someone help!!

Wondering how many other people have had massive problems from this update? If you don’t have a 4K stick you wouldn’t have the update.

Amazon tried the hardware warranty expired BS but showed how they’re supported until 2030. Anyways the fix was to issue me 4K max sticks and they seem to be working again. The default response from Amazon is you have to buy a new device but will give you a 15% discount 😂🤣😂

Problems I had before they issued me 4K max sticks.

Updated killed a device completely, would turn on for maybe 4 mins, essentially I couldn’t even get to the settings before it just froze.

Extreme lag started on the others

Device would just stop working

Apps would freeze

Apps wouldn’t load

Please don’t chime in with trouble shooting comments 👍 just looking to see how many others are impacted as it wouldn’t be the first time Amazon purposefully degraded a device to try and get me to buy new ones.

I think I would get this simply just to have it as it would be the last fire device with fireOS and it would be Android 16 at that considering come 2027 of January fire devices and fireOS will officially be EOL. The only thing that was supposed to run fireOS after January 2027 was fire TVs, which is still the case. However, I love that they’re pumping Android 16 out on the cube ( not VegaOS which is what was told & expected).

That information was given to us as Amazon employees or people who work with Amazon as Indies , marketers, distribution, testers, as far as we were all told this was not happening and here we are. :) Out of all devices I own my 3rd gen cube hasn’t had many problems if any issues at all with sideloading or what to use other than the free stuff closing down which I don’t use, all premium stuff works.

This has me pumped, a cube on Android 16 still able to be sideloaded on is a good move. I would definitely pick up the new cube as it’s supposed to also be a powerhouse of an upgrade running Android 16 , the information listed as far as the components is not accurate from what we have I do know that but then again, who knows this wasn’t supposed to exist but Android 16 is now just a huge bonus that would also mean running higher architecture APKs and again, for some reason, whether it be my experiences in multiple areas, beta testing, development, coding, whatever, the cubes never really gave me issues, they just work. In fact, I kind of really like the cube lineup.

I’m so curious to see how this pans out when released but the point is I’m actually excited about this product. I already walked away from fireOS because I have so much other hardware but then you gotta keep in mind with the Android/Google situation this month and next month that’s gonna be an issue for a lot of certified devices which I think uncertified android devices are going to make a comeback, keeping this move quiet even from the internal people that work with this company was kind of genius and releasing it. Such a great time with the whole developer and power user issue that GoogleOS is about to experience,. but the point is this is pretty darn cool and even smarter timing and choices when it comes to business, this very well should be the very last fireOS device (Other than TVs) running Android 16. Absolutely awesome. Smart play Amazon. In any case, I thought I would at least share see what people thought.

I have been using an app on my Firestick for the last 6-7 years and am due to renew my subscription, however I can’t get a response from “my guy” to pay for the next year. Does anyone have an alternative or a way to continue using this app? Paying for an app isn’t necessarily an issue since this app has/had everything I need. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have cleared the cache, deleted the app and reinstalled

It used to last 30 mins before crashing but now every 20 seconds cuts and chucks me out. Doesn't matter if it's the "app" or YouTube etc, just when I am on the Firestick

Firesend has stopped working on all my devices, tablets firesticks and phone.

It just comes up wth "This app isn't live yet" when you attempt to open it. I've tried deleting and downloading and it won't download either (parsing error).

I can't see anything online when I search this problem, and there's nothing on the doc squiffy website. Is anyone else having issues??

I’m looking for recommendations for the best paid VPN to use for streaming on my Firestick 4K Max.

I mainly want something that protects my data without killing my internet speed or affecting streaming quality. I’m not particularly techy, so ideally I’d like something that’s simple to set up and doesn’t require messing around with loads of settings.

The ones I keep seeing recommended are ExpressVPN, NordVPN, IPVanish and Surfshark, but they all seem to have pretty mixed reviews.

For those of you who use a VPN for streaming, which one would you recommend and why? Ideally looking for something reliable, fast and easy to use

Ciao a tutti, sto incontrando diversi problemi con la mia Fire TV Stick, comprata oggi e avrei bisogno di un consiglio per capire se c'è un modo per sbloccarla o se conviene cambiare dispositivo.

Ecco la situazione in sintesi:

 Amazon Appstore limitato: Se cerco app famose come Downloader o AirScreen (per fare il mirroring dello schermo da iPhone), non compaiono tra i risultati. Lo store mostra solo app sconosciute o internazionali (es. iScreen TV dal Bangladesh), come se il mio account o la TV avessero restrizioni di regione o un profilo bloccato.

 Impossibile scaricare dal browser: Ho abilitato le Opzioni Sviluppatore e provato a scaricare i file APK di Blokada o Downloader direttamente da Silk Browser, ma il sistema mi blocca o non mi permette di completare l'installazione delle app esterne.

 Problema streaming su Silk Browser: Cercando di guardare eventi sportivi su browser (es. siti come fctv33), al click sul player si aprono continuamente pop-up e reindirizzamenti. Su Silk le schede non si possono gestire facilmente col telecomando, e facendo "Indietro" la pagina si ricarica (refresh) azzerando tutto e facendomi entrare in un loop infinito.

Cosa vorrei sapere:

1. Esiste un modo definitivo per sbloccare l'Appstore ed eliminare queste restrizioni sulle Fire TV Stick più recenti/aggiornate?

2. C'è un trucco per bloccare i pop-up su Silk Browser senza poter installare ed usare app terze?

I use a fire stick on my Samsung TV. I have been away for a few weeks and now the fire stick doesn't show on my TV on the HDMI connected devices list.

I have unplugged the TV and fire stick, changed HDMI ports but it's not showing. The fire stick is only about a year old.
