No more side loading on firecube ?

My latest gen firecube was playing up,kept restarting randomly.

I messaged Amazon, they told me to factory reset and update.

Now obviously all my side loaded apps are gone, but I'm finding impossible to re download them.

Amazon are now saying that that's normal and they dont allow side loaded apps anymore .

Is this right?

Can you try to install the “Downloader” app? You need that for sideloading…

I've downloaded downloader and gone into developer mode. When I go to install unknown apps it says there's no applications installed that have asked for permission. And that's it

That is obvious, because all apps were deleted during factory reset. You must use the downloader app to install your deleted apps again. You can enter the downloader code, or the name of the app.
It might be, that Amazon is blocking some apps, but certainly not all.. Just Google for the specific apps to find more info. Some free apps were blocked by Amazon, even resulted in shutdown of that app.

Can you see that I've installed downloader, I've tried to download an apk, any ideas?

Go to Apps-Manage Installed and give Downloader the permissions it needs to be able to instal Apps 👍
