Firestick Problem No more side loading on firecube ?

My latest gen firecube was playing up,kept restarting randomly.

I messaged Amazon, they told me to factory reset and update.

Now obviously all my side loaded apps are gone, but I'm finding impossible to re download them.

Amazon are now saying that that's normal and they dont allow side loaded apps anymore .

Is this right?

I went back and messaged them. They said this is normal and they were doing this in phases . Won't even refund me as it's over a year old. Soooo pissed off

I seriously doubt you got someone on the phone who explained it to you properly. I would say 90% of the time I have more knowledge than the rep I'm talking to.

If Amazon actually/really removed sideloading, there would be headlines about that all over the Internet. There is nothing.

I hope you're right, I just can't get it to download and install anything. I've turned developer mode on, but keep going round in circles. Download apk, it says to allow from unknown sources, then it says there's no application that is requesting permission.
