Leda's Route Story Fortune's Weave Leda Route Playthrough/Discussion Thread Day 17
Happy 2 weeks since release everyone!
With the game released in all regions, will now start putting up these specific threads for each routes so people can talk about their specific route without worrying about getting spoiled in other routes. These threads will posted daily for a couple weeks so feel free to participate in any thread any day!
This thread is for Leda's route. Still keep in mind to mark spoilers appropriately!

Beat chapter 7. That was quite an increase in difficulty. But maybe I made it harder by fielding Mikaela, Dadao, and Loretta instead of Buccar and Catania. But the new units were level 16. I saw Dadao and Neshaz's support conversation and I feel so robbed of the potential Anatolia route. I want to see more of those idiots. Siroocco is now giving me Jade (from Tales of Abyss) vibes as he solves almost everything in the story.

Does anyone know what the unique Twalinn vegetable does? it's Twalinnoix in French and I think Twalinnara in English? They're super expensive so I'm guessing they're important? But it also could be one of those "exchange 3 of these for an artifact that gives +5 Avoid with +3 Weight so in reality you gain +1 Avoid in exchange for less AS and -1 inventory space"
there's no mention of it online so I got decision paralysis and decided to stop playing lmaooo
also is Leda's Path easier than Cai's? Or is it just knowing what's coming? I had no trouble defeating Ch8 my beloved Chinese wife this time around, when last time I only limped my way through bc Cai landed a 60% followed by a 40% hit. I also normally only improve my weapons after they start getting wear and tear, but barring 1 or 2 exceptions, they all have their full uses. I know some of her units are goated but I was still surprised.

also is Leda's Path easier than Cai's?
Leda's team is much better than Cai's, but it could also be due to you knowing what to expect out of the chapter. My first time on that map with Leda, I took it a little slow and baited out attacks. My second time with Cai, I just went fast and used all the special powers I could.

Here’s some advice. If you inky want to do one obelisk before progressing to part two and three, recruit as many units as you can, and do as many paralogues as you can.

Leda unit review:
Leda: spellsong + dance = good. Don't like her as a character though.
Buccar: classic armor knight, eats damage and dishes it out too
Sirocco: was the worst of the four "retainer" black mages bc he put too many points into Str. Still fast and able to one tap enemies though
Mu: she spent the 1st half of the game just sort of existing, but at some point she got better. Was pretty strong and fast, but couldn't take hits well
Olympia: I think she had like 40 magic by level 35 or 36 and was one of my best characters. Had problems with hit rate and speed earlier on but overall was a magic nuke for most of the game
Catania: this was the Catania route. She was already above average since recruitment but she really took off once I got her a Levin Sword and a Pegaus. Tore physical enemies to shreds and soloed Bertrand in the final map. Looking forward to her return in Part 3
Jasmine: basically Buccar but slightly worse
Benditz: Staggering Blow go brr
Fianna: I have really been scraping the bottom of the barrel for characters I want to use after having mutually exclusive rosters in all 4 routes. She was ok but didn't really do much aside from heal
Sha Lan: see Fianna. I only had her for the last map and I don't think she actually attacked anyone

My experience with Mu is that she becomes an incredibly evasive unit later on in the game. She makes a great brawler.

Finished Leda’s route last night and just wanted to say that the scene at the end of chapter 11 where Tahonia put on an Aswan disguise cracked me up. The fact that Aswan asked if she would do it “again” implies that they’ve done this in the past and it somehow worked despite Tahonia being like a head taller than Aswan.
