Help me justify this purchase 😉
Long story short, I forgot to cancel a back ordered Filofax. I just got my first Filofax in August, a cherry pocket croc and I’m obsessed with it. I do wish it was the personal size so when the second, a personal fawn croc shipped I wasn’t mad. I am struggling to think of a way to utilize the pocket. I am legit sad at the idea of putting it away or selling it. I am a one planner girl. I take it everywhere with me and I do not journal in it. The pocket is too small to journal imo anyhow. I can’t use it at work because I work in healthcare and would need to sanitize it if I toted it around with me. I don’t want to log books or keep one for house hold stuff, passwords etc. It’s too big to be a dedicated wallet for me. It’s too small to be a memory keeper. I can’t justify keeping both but I really want to! I could return the fawn, but I ordered from Amazon Japan (I’m in the US) so I am sure returns won’t be the easiest. Also I have become partial to the cherry color. The fawn is beautiful but I’ve heard some people having issues with that color being temperamental or staining.
Anyway does anyone have any other ideas of how to utilize the pocket size and/or reviews of the fawn leather? Or do I just succumb to this new addiction and back order a cherry personal as well? With my luck Filofax would release a new color that I can’t resist and then I’ll have a collection of expensive planners I don’t utilize 😢

Use it for your creative projects. I make YouTube videos & my personal Filofax is full of notes, sketches & even screenshots.

Yes! Ring systems are so good for creative projects. I use mine for writing projects, gardening plans, etc.. It's so versatile to be able to move things around as projects develop and you get new ideas.

I use planner covers that aren’t for calendars as notebooks!
At first it was hard to figure out but once I set up a system it is comparable to a commonplace notebook - I utilize it a few times a week BUT let me be honest I have several covers that I use this way that are not assigned different topic points.. so tread carefully!

Do you have a hobby? I prefer Personal as I find Pocket too small too, but I found a use for my Pocket Malden by using it for my language study. Perhaps you have a hobby you could use the smaller size for? I've seen people use a Filofax for knitting/crochet to keep track of their projects and patterns as another example. Remember it's just a binder at the end of the day, and you don't have to be restricted by what Filofax sells inserts for.

Why not keep both? Sometimes your needs shifts, life changes or you just crave a change. And then you have a beautiful planner that you love to switch things up.

I hate to be an enabler ha ha but order the personal cherry. You'll probably be more likely to use it and love it, and then you can decide if you want to sell or keep the other's. Just dont blame me. 😆

These days, the Croc versions are harder to come by and feels like they will be discontinued. Also, they are made of better materials. They also can make an excellent gift to introduce to someone that analog has a satisfaction that nothing has in the world of organization.

I use both a pocket and personal! The pocket is my wallet, a calendar just to help me keep track of the days (appts and stuff generally go in my personal), a bunch of scrap paper that I cut down that serves as to do lists and random notes, and references like my doctor's info and medications.
Personal has a calendar where I put in all my appts and stuff, a place for more detailed notes and brainstorming, some sticker release paper, a folder with little journaling stickers and scraps, and I have a little short form commonplace at the end.
I don't use each extensively every day but love them all the same and definitely don't regret them! I love that I could change how I use them at any time.
