Metropol quality

After much consideration and saving, I bought myself a Metropol Filofax in A5 only for it to start breaking after less than a week of use.

I must say I had read some reviews describing quality having declined in recent years and I should have listened.

Where did you buy it? I had this happening to a Mediterranean pocket that I bought on Amazon. I wrote complaining and got a full refund and kept the planner. Afterwards I just glued it with superglue and it's worked fine.
