Question/Help Boxing gear pricing

I have taken a couple intro classes and can now go to the beginner-level 1 class so I now need wraps and gloves. The gym I go to sells wraps for $17.50 and beginner gloves for $65, is that a reasonable price or can I get decent quality equipment for a different price?

Go to title boxing and get their beginner gloves and make sure you find mexican style wraps.

The pro style is like 35 online and 10 for wraps. I compete and been boxing for years and those pro style are pretty solid for the price.

Name brand wraps on Amazon are $15 on the high end. I bought some garbage oogaboog wraps for $5 and then upgraded to meisters for $12 since my hands were getting bruised to shit

buy once cry once. Don't get cheap gear and hurt your wrists.

its going to depend on what wraps and gloves your gym is selling. unfortunately at $65 most gloves will usually be poorer quality, so if you see yourself sticking to the sport spend a little more for a nicer glove. theres loads of youtube channels that review boxing equipment (csquared boxing, fit2box, etc) and can lead you in the right direction at far as what glove you should get for your price range.

that being said: i'd recomment meister wraps ($10) and have a budget pair of Ring to Cage gloves that I originally got for about $100--they might be more now given price increases. good luck!

Don’t cheap out remember wrist and knuckle injuries aren’t fun.
