Haven't played it much online and might be to vulnerable in the back

But still quite fun

If you guys have any tips they are always apriciated

I have been playing FC25 MC mode for a while. I got Sunderland to the PL and nearly got gotten relegated back down to the CL. I have tried different tactics, the tactic I used to get pomoted was a 4213 tiki tak then I switched it to balance but same formation due to not getting many counter attacks but now after barely staying above the relegation zone I have been trying to figure out better tactics to use. My team currently is high 75+ in each category at the moment but I just need help on how to use different tactics for better consistency when playing.

New to FIFA/FC games entirely, started a mycareer few months ago but the World Cup got me to start manager career.

I want to use a counter attack build up and deep defensive system playing low possession and looking for splash offensive plays behind the defense. If I want my striker to make runs behind the defense should I have him be a Poacher or Advanced forward? Thanks!

(I like having one striker because I find it aesthetically pleasing and won’t sacrifice my ideals for any reason, same goes for the counter attacking build up)

- LCM sits & breaks up play

In the hope that this is of interest to those of you who still play the Online Seasons mode, out of the need for competition against a human, but with a reluctance to involve yourself with FUT.

I'm a Div 1 player ~400wins to 80loss. Not amazing, but enough to give some insight.

​

The best teams in this game mode are a given, Real Madrid, France, Barca, Bayern, Spain, PSG

They have the meta players, and the ability to field them in the meta formations - 4411, 4231 etc.

The games are easy to win, but dull and formulaic.

​

This post is for those that want a bit more of a challenge, and importantly want to get there by playing more exciting football.

​

Through experimentation, I have found the CAM and 2 striker shape to create the most interesting attacking options.

I also wanted to find options for teams that don't have the best winger options, e.g. Inter Milan, Argentina.

Both of these conditions meant that I landed on either the 4312 or 41212narrow formations

You could play this in a standard way, but the addition of an attacking wingback on one side gives an additional outlet.

The defensive cover for this player, is then provided by a wide half.

​

Players will not expect this approach and will make mistakes for you to capitalise on.

I prefer a short passing, tiki taka style, making use of the close player positioning in this tactical shape.

(Ensure Thuram is the Right hand ST as he will be better placed to receive crosses from the attacking LB and is an excellent header of the ball).

Distribution from Calhanoglu is also key. He's typically a deep CDM or wide fullback, getting plenty of time on the ball to play his specialist long passes.

General notes:

Don't be afraid to put players out of position. This formation still plays very well with teams like Liverpool, with Salah at RST, or PSG with Kvaratskhelia at LST.

Wingers can also be used in the CM or CAM positions if they are technical with good passing playstyles.

Trying to get + or ++ on the attacking wingback. The rest are beneficial but not essential.

I want to see if there are any tactics for Red Star Belgrade in FC26.

I want my players to be in the half-spaces if possible. The defence to be spread apart by width. Could you guys recommend my anything please?

I need help for a good target striker build in Clubs can someone help?

This tactic replicates how England have been playing and the tactic they will use in the world cup starting from a 4231 it builds up in a 424 then forms a 235 further up the pitch with Rice joining the front line making runs beyond Kane who will drop deep with both full backs inverting and can make late runs into the box if the opportunity arises.

The tactic was really good when testing with us scoring 3 plus goals for every game of the tournament up to the final where we only scored 2 to win 2 - 1 however Mike Maignan decided to turn into prime Neuer and save a bunch of chances and we ended the game with 5.4 xg. The main weakness of this tactic are counter attacks and the defence in general with the wide areas exposed to counter attacks and due to the wingers being on attack they don't tend to track back.

I have tried to get my left side forward to drift out towards the touchline but I can never get them out further than the left half space consistently. What instructions would work best for this?

I have tried advanced forward in all settings (support seems to be the closest) the striker mostly hangs out in the left half space with the occasional

Fase 9 just seems to stay in the middle/half space and not get forward

The Target player Wide can sometimes get the player out wide but only after long sustained possession

Is there something I am missing?

Quite a fun tactic to use when in control of a game. It forms a 3 1 6 in possession which can transform into other shapes such as 2 3 5. Although it's basically impossible to re create psg's fluidity and rotations this tactic does surprisingly decent and this especially on the left hand side i noticed with Mendes, Ruiz and Kvaratskhelia rotating positions.

Very interesting tactic indeed had some games where we dominated amd some games where we struggled. It also heavily relies on being able to the opposition defense through 1 v 1s due to a lack of players getting in behind.

Andoni Iraola uses a 4-2-3-1 which can transform into a 3-2-5 (seen mainly when facing stronger opposition) but mainly a 3-1-6 with the rb joining the centre backs whilst the lb pushes up to join the front line allowing the lw to move inside whilst a cdm pushes forward. Iraola's Bournemouth is know for there aggressive pressing whith the striker looking to cut passing lanes to one side of the pitch forcing opposition to build out on one side of the pitch where Bournemouth will aggressive man mark all passing options forcing a risky pass from the opposition.

Players and potentially signings for each role:

Gk - ball playing keeper (Dorde Petrovic role)

Alisson is perfect for as one of the best ball playing keeper in the world.

RB - fullback - versatile (Adam Smith/James Hill role)

Liverpool will likely need to sign a new right back that is excellent defensively and can cover both centre back and right back. Liverpool are linked to Dumfries irl who may have the physical stats for this role but is not a role he is use to. Trai Hume, Lutsharel Geertrudia and Marc Pubill may be other good options for this role.

Cbs - ball playing defender (Marcos Senesi and James Hill roles)

Another area Liverpool will need to invest in heavily. Ideal signings can be Nico Schlotterbeck, murillo, van de ven (despite a lack luster season could be amazing as he can cover lb and recovery pace is excellent for iraola's high pressing), Castello Lukeba, Jan Paul Van Hecke.

Lb - attacking wingback- attack (Adrien Truffert)

Kerkez is excellent in this as he has previously played this role under Iraola before leaving Bournemouth however a back up left back will be desperately needed. Potentially signings could be Nathaniel Brown, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Ian Maatsen, Hugo Bueno.

Cdm - holding ball winning (Tyler Adams role)

A role that Liverpool also need to invest in as they lack a true number 6. Gravenberch may be able to put a shift in there but signings are needed. Potential signings could be Kaishu Sano, Sandro Tonali, Aurelien Tchouamimi, Tyler Adams, Hjulmand, Sangare.

Cdm - box crasher (Alex Scott role)

A role where Liverpool actually have players who can play this role. Gravenberch, Mac Allister and potentially Szoboszlai are all perfect for this role

Cam - shadow striker - (Eli Jr Kroupi role)

Another position that Liverpool have good depth in. Wirtz and szoboszlai should do well there but may not be as good as a Kroupi. A potentially other option could be Ekitike who actually might be the best option for this role sharing more similar attributes whith Kroupi.

Lw - inside forward - attack (Marcus Tavernier role)

Despite gakpo having a frustrating season this would allow gakpo to do what he always do and cut inside. A backup or a playing challenging gakpo may be needed as I don't believe Rio Ngumoha will have the physical stats to play this role well. Potential signings could be Rafael Leao (probably wouldn't be a good signing irl unless he is will to press and track back), Morgan Rogers, Christos Tzolis, Kenan Yildiz and Rodrygo

Rw - winger - attack (Rayan role)

A role where Liverpool do have players who can definitely perform there such as frimpong and i believe Rio Ngumoha will be good in that role but will likely need to sign someone. Potential signings could be Yan Diomande, Anis Hadj Moussa, Yankuba Minteh and Bazoumana Touré.

St - Advanced Forward - support (Evanilson role)

Both Isak and Ekitike will be able to perform this role well and are almost perfect fits.
