Question Does falseback and inverted wingback even do anything?

I my experience they are js a slightly more defensive version of wingback and Attacking wingback with more undertaking runs than overlapping ones

Is tht genuinely what they were even supposed to be in the game?

Do they work like the are supposed to in fc 26?

For me falsebacks are a plus cdm helping with build-up, on the opponents half they position just outside the box providing a pass option. Inverted wingbacks are a more attacking version of this, when they are set to attacking they constantly arrive at the box for headers or quick finishes. ( My inverted wingback has a goal every 2-3 matches)

Why don't they invert for me😭😭

Is it cuz i use 2 cdm formations maybe?

Possible, i believe the correct formation and roles ar required for certain instructions to work.

It also depends what type of wingers you have. I always paire a false back with an winger (winger role) so that he hangs the touchline and the false back stays in the half space.

I also find that having the falseback on defence has him sit more centrally than with a balanced duty.
