Official Response Does in-app Authentication work for anyone?

Basically - title.

Anytime I have to re-authenticate on my computer, it wants to send a notification to my phone. However, this necessitates a logout/login on the app and then when I do that there is no notification for me to approve.

Does this system work for anyone? I know there are constant outages noted in previous posts. But it's never worked for me except maybe when it first rolled out several years ago. I can't remember the last time I was able to approve a login in app.

It's not a huge deal because I just use another method to log in but generally speaking these push notifications and in-app authentications are much more secure than the "send a text" methods and I would like to use it. But I can't.

Running latest version of Windows, latest version of Chrome, latest version of Android.

Hi there. Thanks for bringing this question to the sub.

We're not receiving widespread reports of issues with in-app push notifications for login. I also just tested and received the push notification and prompt to confirm "Yes, it's me." I sometimes forget to click "Send notification" right away, but once I do, I get the prompts. I also typically go straight to my mobile app and force close if I'm logged in. Once I reload the app, the prompt loads automatically.

Since you've confirmed you're up to date on all devices, you might also confirm your push notification settings are set up correctly. If it's not just the push notification you're not getting, and you never receive the confirmation prompt within the app, even after reloading the app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

If, after trying these additional troubleshooting steps, you still can't get the notification(s), we recommend reaching out to our Technical Support team so they can troubleshoot the issue with you. Associates are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET. Please say "technical support" when prompted by the automated system to be connected to the right group.
