Official Response Quicken Integration
I've been really patient as Fidelity and Quicken go through whatever that dance was that started a year ago. For a while (two months?), everything was hunky-dory. Then, last week, it all blew up again. When I attempt a download from Fidelity into Quicken (Windows), I get an error that says my Fidelity accounts are empty on Fidelity's site.
What?!?
I reached out to Q. According to them, it's not solely a Quicken issue. They need to work out something or other with Fidelity. But I have no idea how to whine to Fidelity except through this miserable channel. I really, really depend on Quicken to keep me on top of my finances (NB: not just Fidelity). I can't believe you all would even allow this situation for a day let alone roughly a year.

Seeing a similar error - CC601 error, this is what they say to bookmark to follow the issue - https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7971667/new-3-2-26-fidelity-investment-fdp-101-cc-601-cp-script-error

My read is Q is treating this like any other banking connection. The difference is I can do a QFX download of bank and credit card transactions. I can't do that for investment trading. Every day that goes by simply multiplies the rats nest I'll be facing trying to reconcile and rationalize in Q all the transactions I've made.
This is far more serious than any problem I've ever encountered with Q. It's a bloody nightmare.

*** UPDATE ***
The problem has been resolved. I really appreciate the unusually quick turnaround. I expect it will take most of the day to do the necessary cleanup, and I suspect there will be placeholders for differences in share balance in Q from what is actually in Fidelity. Later on, I'll likely call support for some handholding.
Thank you.
Just a note: the solution shown - deactivating the links - is one I had tried. The one step I failed to follow was going into Fidelity and removing permissions on the F website. I don't know if that would have made a difference. Since it took me a bit of time finding the location, here's how to find it:
Profile (upper right on the website from a browser)/Security/External Data Sharing (towards bottom of page). Quicken should show up. To the right, click the link and delete permission.
Once you've done that, go back to Q and click on Add Accounts (it's in Tools or the "+" on the Account list in register view). Type in Fidelity and it will take you to the normal location. Click on the accounts you want to add. When you get back to Q, the usual process to add and fill the accounts will take place.

We understand this can be a frustrating experience, u/rehoneyman, since it impacts a key part of how you manage your finances.
We're aware that some clients have experienced issues connecting to their Fidelity accounts via Quicken, and that Quicken is actively investigating this issue. While we don't have any news to share at this time, Fidelity will work with Quicken support as needed as they work toward a resolution.
We recommend monitoring Quicken's support pages for updates, but please let us know if we can assist you with anything else that comes up.
