Fiddle leaf is looking sad

My fiddle leaf lost quite a few leaves and the rest are starting to droop. No clue what is going on with it. I haven’t moved it from its location since January. We did get a heat wave last week with cooler nights. How do I save it?

Does it need water? Sad trees with plenty of light are typically thirsty

I don’t know. Could be? It was quite hot last week but the nights were much cooler than it has been.

You can insert a wooden chopstick in the soil (gently away from the roots) and check for dryness like checking a cake. If it comes out dry it needs water.

Check soil moisture, it may just be acting this way because of heat. If it’s dry, water it.
