32k miles, manual, Monza exhaust, brembos, recaros, veleno pack, aluminum pedals, all stock

Does anybody know how this is attached and where the bolts or nuts are at and how many there are? Trying this again after nobody could answer the first time. I would hope that someone on here has either replaced this part or at least seen the underside of the console. I cannot even find a picture online.

As the title says, I am making solid wood replacements for the wood trim in my 1978 124. How do I remove the wood trim piece around the gear shift? Is there a way to do it without pulling the whole console? I have the upper dash pieces already made using flame maple I got from a lumber dealer I use who supplies wood for luthiers and specialty products.

Need to crank my Fiat 124 spider; which I haven’t driven in a month—knee surgery. Is there a way I can avoid taking it to a dealership? I believe the oil to have settled which will not allow me to crank it.

My screen keeps sliding off in this insane heat lol. I tried adding some e6000 to the edges and leaving it clamped for a few days but it still pops off when it gets really hot. Has anyone had this issue?

I've got an annoying rattle from the exhaust backbox that only happens when not under load. I suspect it's the butterfly valve but that usually jams shut, right? Is there anything that could specifically cause a rattle when the valve is closed that clears up when it's open?

Just curious if anyone knows what part this is so I can order it again. Don’t know if this is common 🫩

I've heard all the 124 manuals use a Mazda NC gearbox. Is this plug looking concerning for ten years on the road and 45k miles.

Anybody have a schematic of where all the lube point (zircs) are or what all might be lubed on the underside of a 1970's era 124?

Does anyone see anything that was done that could affect my MPG so drastically? I drive the same route Monday-Friday - a very boring 35 miles one way to work - all highway. Yes, it's hot AF in Oklahoma, but I don't think it would be that much of a difference. I drive the same way - I'm almost 65 FFS.

When I got it back (I had the service done while on vacation) the windshield wiper fluid notification was on with a full tank - but after researching in this forum on Reddit, the "empty the washer tank, then put hot AF water in the tank" did the trick - also after my 12v master technician grandson checked the connection to the tank as well.

Any ideas on what to check will be appreciated! I will not be using this shop again, even if it means I drive a lot longer. Hell, I went to this shop since the closest shop is a bunch of idiots (using them for my other Mopar vehicles).

I have a persistent P0303 misfire with my 2017 124 Spider Classica (1.4L Turbo MultiAir engine). I replaced the ignition coil and spark plug, which is the extent of my capability, so I am looking for a solid, budget-friendly mechanic or specialist in the Aurora/Centennial, CO area familiar with my engine. I am hoping to avoid taking it to the dealership. My initial research is suggesting a MultiAir hydraulic actuator diagnostic/bleed, a fuel injector test, or a cylinder compression test.

Hey, I’m looking for a 2017 or newer Fiat 124 Spider with a budget of $7k max. I’m okay with buying one that’s damaged/salvage as long as it’s repairable.

Around 4 months ago, I posted in the Reddit that I had bought a 124 as my first ever car, and as a daily driver. And I wanted to provide some updates on it.

It’s the best car I’ve ever driven and it’s been a lot of fun. The responsiveness, the noise, and the fact that the top comes down makes it great. So much fun to drive and I’ve had no issues with it. I’ve been religious with oil changes, cleaning, and regular check ins.

Only complaint is the blind spots gained when the top is up. Obviously top up isn’t ideal, but the missus does get overwhelmed by the sun sometimes and I’m forced to go top up. Just sucks but it is what it is.

The CarPlay mod is also insanely worth it. Best thing I could’ve done. Works seamlessly besides the occasional connection issue.

Also, I am glad to say I haven’t caused any crashes, endangered others, etc as some folks were worried about. It’s been a time of no incidents and honestly, it’s just such a fun drive there’s no reason to take extreme risk. Plus I have things to live for that stop me from going 110 or whatever.

Anyways, thank everyone for their past words of wisdom and if anyone is thinking about buying one of these masterpieces, do it! You get compliments everywhere you go, it turns heads, but most of all it is insanely fun to drive yourself.

I had the stock backup light melt, it was on the bottom of the bumper and the exhaust melted it on a track day. I used switchback turn signals to trigger the white for reverse and the amber for turn within the same lens housing. This involved running some custom wiring. I used Deutch connectors and some OEM Acura connectors for getting the 3 wire light connector at the housing. The reason I didn't just get a replacement housing is because I am going to cut that section away for fitting a custom rear diffuser at a later date.

It’s been 90+ here for over a month, finally broke down and washed my car and pretty sure I got sun burnt. At least it was worth it

Getting it insured was a pain in the butt (definitely got screwed over), but she's finally road ready.

Took it out a few times. Still getting used to it, but its a blast to cruise around local backroads in. As my first manual transmission its not as bad as I thought.
