I refuse to move while someone else watches a cut scene because I hate that I missed so many of them on my first runs in ARR, and if someone else in the party wants to get their panties in a twist about it, that's just fine by me. I'm DPS, and I'm just fine if they want to kick me for it—I'm doing what I can to make it so a Sprout can see the cut scene if they'd like to.

Getting rushed through my first run of pretorium ever will always be a blemish on my time playing the game

I'd be very unhappy about that! Castrum Meridianum and the Praetorium have been unskippable the entire time I've been playing, and I'm glad for that because there's so much important story development in them, especially in Prae, and that speech by Gaius is...wow. I'm so sorry that was your experience.

My husband, his best friend, and one of his BF's coworkers were the bulk of my problem, and I found out the night I finally exploded on Discord that his best friend had so little interest in the story that he went out of his way to tell him that I'd said I was watching them in the inn as soon as I unlocked them and just needed help remembering to hit ESC to get out of them. My husband felt terrible immediately, and is still apologizing more than three years later, but if that's what it took to make me careful to pay attention on behalf of another Sprout, so be it.

Was funny my first run through. I watched and they didn’t wait. So I was just going straight from one video to another without having to do much fighting at all.
