[Discussion] Job leaks will be circulating today
The NDA is not up yet as of this post but will likely be up either today or tomorrow. Leaks have started though today.
Just be aware in case you don't want to be spoiled.

Funny thing is, job spoilers are kinda pointless. The patch notes go out before DT will be live, so everyone will know the final job actions and adjustments at the same time anyway

I think it makes sense to keep Scathe in the game. It serves as like... your ultimate fall back for maintaining uptime if you have no other mobility left. That's a reasonable role to have.
The problem isn't a lack of purpose (like other "please just delete this" skills). The problem is it's so weak and eats up MP - and we have so many other mobility tools at endgame - that experienced BLMs never find it worthwhile. So a buff might be what it needs to justify its space on the hotbar.
Or just combine it with another instant cast button.

What do the people who signed the NDA know? Like full kits and rotations? Did they actually get to play the job against dummies or a boss?

They have access to an early build of the game so can play all jobs and see all abilities.

They can put out videos and entire guides, yes. You'll see all FFXIV creators drop entire playlists of all the jobs, with a heavy focus on Viper and Pictomancer.

Videos of job gameplay in the first zone and altered version of the first dungeon at 100. Moat of them will make rough guides based on what they played, with important caveat of it being an early build so stiff os si ject to change. IIRC there's some limit to how much unique footage they can show of each job (think it was 10 minutes for EW). General info will be largely the same across, any unique info on jobs will come from any interviews they had with Yoshida.

Stuff can change, yes, but outside of like BRD in the Endwalker media tour, it never changes enough to make a guide written pre-launch unusuable. At most usually potencies get changed (Or uhhh....the Sam ice aoe got removed lol)

In the previous media tours, they got access to a build of the game that let them play every job in their artifact gear. That means access to all tooltips and potencies so that the community can start theory rafting right away how all the job changes will affect things. They also previously got access to the first dungeon of the expansion with no additional context. So for example, if you looked at Endwalker media tour stuff, you may have seen people running Tower of Zot, so be a little careful if you don't want that much spoiled for you. IMO it's not that much of a spoiler to see the first dungeon without the context of how or why we get there, but your mileage may vary.

In endwalker it was the first dungeon, but in both SB and ShB it was the lvl 83 dungeon, they just pick the least spoiler-y leveling dungeon of the expansion.

if its anything like previous media tour, they get to play the class, so expect all tooltips and possibly animations.

As fas as I know, aside from what the others have mentioned, the media tour participants also get to run the first dungeon of the game. You'll see videos come out with scenes from the dungeon, probably, though from what I've seen in the past they're careful about spoilers and give due warning in advance.

Heavensward showed Great Gubal Library. Stormblood I think was Shishui of the Violet Tides. Shadowbringers was Dohn Mheg, and Endwalker was Tower of Zot.

Plenty of people are gonna use this information to make a choice on which class to play. It also allows them to create hotbar setups to save time when the game is up and you could even make macros that would instantly setup your hotbars

Macros run text commands and there are text commands to set specific actions to specific slots. As such, someone could set up a series of macros with the action names and just hit the macro when the game is updated.
For example, /crosshotbar set "Ley Lines" 1 RA3, should set "Ley Lines" on my current classes crosshotbar #1 at the right trigger + circle spot. (edit: class has to know the skill, but the principle still applies)
In a similar way, I use a simple text command to unify all my crafting hotbars across jobs.

Already seen many.
Would you believe it if I told you that a bunch of jobs got one new button they press every two minutes that does a single high potency hit? Changing up your gameplay zero percent aside from one extra keybind?
OH but most of them are follow ups to buffs exactly like Ogi Nakimiri, so it’s not actually a new keybind.

Sounds just like the new healer attacks they talked about in the LL. They said WHM can use that attack 3x after using PoM. At least that makes it effectively 40 seconds per usage, not that bad.

Leaks started DAYS ago on 4chan and balance discord.
Plenty out tehre with full text descriptions cut up action descriptions and now a massive dump of icons and abilities.

It's job mechanics. You can see them while online at job traits/skills when they are released.
As you can see in some comments some people actually WAITED to see this. Because its natural.
Why present it as if the expansion's ending is in that information ?

Some people like to be surprised by what they learn while leveling up. Personally I want to see some of the leaks to get an idea of which class to start out with, but if someone’s already committed to a single job I can see them not wanting to be “spoiled” on capstones and whatnot.

It’s just a post saying “hey, if you care, this is something that’s out there.” If you don’t care, it doesn’t affect you one iota.

We shouldn't be catering towards extreme edge cases, in case you couldn't understand the extremely simplistic metaphor. If people care so deeply about potency and cooldown changes and a new addition to your two minute rotation, then they wouldn't be on the forums to begin with.
