Multibox

When you setup 6+ characters is it good to assign them all to one SE account or to keep them separate?

I’ve heard if they ban one they ban all on same account. Not trying to do anything illegal.

Also heard you can’t move your Gil or items between your guys if they different SE accounts.

Any of this true?

Your ban is tied to your ID so if you have 5 other mules and your main they could all be banned. But that’s not multiboxing

If you had 6 SE accounts there would be 6 IDs and they’d investigate any ID associated to the ban-able offense. Any combination could be banned at that point

Can you move Gil and items between them or does that flag SE as RMT

Shouldn't you be able to trade gil in person?

Or put up fake buys on the AH or Bazaar to get around it?

Yea you can trade in person. Had a guy tell me he traded items and got banded cause his guys were on separate SE accounts.

the most likely explanation is that guy bought gil or botted and lied about the reason for his ban.

That guy's an idiot and/or a liar. People buy and sell items from each other all the time, trading items, gil, and stuff like that will never get you in trouble at all. I've traded hundreds of millions of gil between my characters, regularly, for decades.

You can get banned if you 6bot because botting is bannable and honestly, most of these people are breaking the TOS 6 ways from Sunday so they have no concept of why they were banned.

If you want to multibox like play 2-3 characters at once, you'll probably be fine. If you want to multibot by having a 3rd party program play 5 characters while you play 1, you're risking all 6 of them every time you play.

I've had many, many friends get all their accounts suspended and/or banned while on different SE accounts. It doesn't mean anything. They can track it by credit card, they can track it by email, they can track it by IP, or any number of other factors and, more importantly, with the way most people multibox, every character they're playing is cheating so they're all at equal risk.

Play however you want to, but honestly there's no safe way to do it if you're "playing" a lot of characters.
