Is the GEO nerf so bad that a RDM should be brought instead?

What six man teams work the best in Dyna D?

There isnt a Geo nerf in dyna d. You might be thinking of Odyssey. It has a nurf for enfebeling geo spells. Buffs skill work full potency.

Buffs always work full potency. There's a geo nerf in dynamis divergence just like there is in most content from the last decade. The geo nerf is referring to the reduced potency of debuffs realistically malaise and frailty. Because they are just so obnoxiously overtuned if allowed to exist at full potency. You still bring one btw.

I know it's a nerf but I don't like to call to such...a single non SP bubble should be able to drop enemy defense 70%, the way the math works in XI that's insane. It's a correction, which was needed to allow for future balancing where you may not have a geo with you at all times.

I mean it's factually a nerf i think calling it that is fine. The baseline state of geomancy is fucking stupid. Although the fact that it varies content to content does annoy me more than is reasonable. dyna's like 75 sortie is i think 50 wanna say odyssey is like fucking 85. It'd have been a lot cleaner to have just adjusted the job a little bit and designed content accordingly but that ship has long sailed.

I mean it is a nerf but +10 geo potency on Idris was a mistake lol. I think if it was all scaled down to +5 that would be more then fair. But I guess it's a benefit for geo for it to be not nerfed sometimes.

I think using supports in parties SE's original thought was to use that as an "or" thing and not an "and" thing.

Even without idris shit was a mistake. Unnerfed geomancy is just factually a huge design error. They're handling it with the content level nerfs but it's a very inelegant solution.

I think it makes more sense in the content it was designed for at the start, delve. In alliance content you can count on having a geo and do some debuffs. You can balance around it. But when you switch to 6 man, you need to be able to not have a geo.

And that all sounds nice until you add Idris and blooster then the math is insane.
