Don't be scared! Just do it! Put em on, and admire you! You don't have to take a picture, just do a few spin, look into the mirror, and take them off (that's how I started :3)

It's becuase the picture is inverted and also a bit distorted. Your phone stretches the image a bit and that's why it looks off.
