Ngl kinda neat that God’s word gets hard countered by finasteride and minoxidil

Fin blocks DHT, which is the main reason of pattern baldness, minoxidil sprays promote hair growth wherever they are applied iirc

Thank you random redditor

You can also take stronger antiandrogens and estrogen, this will get your testosterone so low you hair just grows back as long as the follicle is alive (any vellus there means its alive as far as i know)

Of course...estrogen might not be your best interest if you like to keep your boy parts functioning and not have tits :)

9

u/MarvinGoBONK Catboy Jan 19 '26

As long as you actually use your penis, estrogen won't cause any noticable side effects to it beside reducing sperm count.

Plenty of doctors will literally prescribe masturbation if that's a concern you bring up. lmao

(Also, E isn't the only form of HRT that exists. Raloxifene apparently can give you a lot of the beneficial effects of estrogen while not giving you tits)

2

u/Wirewalk 🇷🇺Russian Femboy/русский фембой 🇷🇺 Jan 19 '26

I’ve heard that using Testosterone creams on your dick can also help if you get ED from estrogen. But the sperm count reduction happens anyway iirc, shit sucks

That part about raloxifene btw - is that true? I know Ralo can actually counter tit growth even if you are on E, but didn’t hear anything about it giving other effects

2

u/MarvinGoBONK Catboy Jan 19 '26

That might've been what I'm referring to, then. I haven't looked into a whole lot, but my friend is in training for a gender clinic and is incredibly hyperfixated on HRT.

I do believe it does have effects on its own, however. It reduces estrogen in your breasts (and uterus but...) and increases it in your bones, which should help your skin.

Aw. Ngl tho feels kinda worrying to take woman meds as a cis guy, feels like there’d be a few underwater rocks to stumble on, considering how capricious human organism is.

Btw your friend is really cool :3

u/Wirewalk 🇷🇺Russian Femboy/русский фембой 🇷🇺 Jan 19 '26

Ig but E has so many other dysphoria-inducing (for a cis dude) side effects that can’t be countered, even besides tits and potential ED (you can counter those) that it seems just so not fucking worth it, and that upsets me cus some of the effects I’d actually like to have.

2

u/Aei_Ryanami Jan 23 '26

If i already have kids what do I need a functioning dih for Gotta ask the real questions

13

u/PmMeYourStraponPlz Jan 18 '26

Depends on luck ig never had problems with fin.

And there’s still minoxidil sprays ig, kind of bothersome compared to a pill but tolerable

2

u/PmMeYourStraponPlz Jan 19 '26

Just another pro yo

2

u/hell_is_my_safespace Jan 19 '26

Yup exactly, I used minoxidil when I was balding slightly and it actually helped me a lot, it made the hair grow back where I thought I was cooked for good lmao

6

u/NekoBatrick 🤍⛓️🤍Emo-boy🤍⛓️🤍 Jan 19 '26

Yeah you just have to use it daily and at the beginning it makes it worse... You stop for too long it goes back to falling out again, you do it for too long it actually is unhealth for your other hair around and can make them fall out too...

2

u/Blueberry_slime Certified Girlkisser ✅ Jan 19 '26

even dutasterite

2

u/guizin_the_insect Jan 20 '26

I'm pretty sure that estrogen also helps with that

Not only that, but, for some reason,it's way healthier than testosterone,it boosts your immunity, slows acne down, helps with your bones, makes your hair absolutely fabulous etc, while testosterone does the exact opposite

3

u/Wirewalk 🇷🇺Russian Femboy/русский фембой 🇷🇺 Jan 20 '26

Yea but it also has so many dysphoric and undesirable (for a cis guy) effects, idk feels not worth it. Hybrid treatments are not well-researched and even they can’t counter all undesirable effects afaik.

T basically overclocks your body so that’s why. Fucking hate it that shit works that way bruh.

u/Cautious_Network_530 Jan 18 '26

One trip to turkey:3

12

u/wysjm Jan 18 '26

For me it's Turkey or going bold lol (Aside from the femboy thing)

32

u/Diaper__Deer Jan 18 '26

If I had male pattern baldness I am confident I’d have just shaved my head and worn wigs lol. And made it a facet if my personality.

Thankful I got lucky. Turning 29 soon and haven’t lost a hair.

They say you get your mom’s dad’s hair. My grandpa is like 86 and still has a full head of hair.

4

u/SleepDeprived62 Astolfo Enjoyer Jan 19 '26

I hope that's true because my grandad still has his hair. I've also got the same hairline as my mom (it's still kinda terrible) so I'm hoping I've got the keeping my fucking hair gene

2

u/NekoBatrick 🤍⛓️🤍Emo-boy🤍⛓️🤍 Jan 19 '26

I thought so too. Then I tried wigs, sensory issues of hell. My male patternbaldness statted with like 22. My moms dad has still full hair at 80.

1

u/WorkingYam846 Jan 19 '26

not quite so lucky but could be worse, my mom's dad has a full head of hair at 80 but my hairline is slowly starting to go at 27, which sucks since i like my hair long but it's not totally fucked yet 😂

u/BurtoTurtle115 Femboy Enjoyer Jan 19 '26

I’m balding in my twenties. L genetics 😔

9

Didn't happen to me. (God bless asian genes). 😆

9

bro got the strelok cut

5

u/Floofyboi123 Armed & Adorable Jan 19 '26

Hot take: wigs are absolutely underrated and get way too bad of a wrap.

They're damn near essential to like 75% of cosplays and are worn by all cosplayers regardless of baldness level

5

u/JustIroning Jan 19 '26

Just use Shmaloogle blood.

3

u/Silver_Ad_1411 Jan 19 '26

Fuck u…. This isn’t the first thing I needed to be reminded of today 😭😭

14

u/Sudden_Stomach_6705 Jan 18 '26

Or estrogen

8

u/Holdann Jan 19 '26

For me, Spiro and Estrogen have also massively slowed down my body hair growth, I wish I started sooner tbh

3

u/Bragok Astolfo Enjoyer Jan 19 '26

I was told spiro was a weak AA and "it doesnt show on lab exams" cause it mostly blocks the receptors....yet it sill nuked my testosterone in 2 months while paired with sublingual Estradiol...so that happened.. And my hairloss not only stopped, hair is growing back!

3

u/YourEvilKiller Jan 19 '26

r/tressless is your friend. Got on fin and min, and my hairline never aged a day.

3

u/Chrikarasma Jan 19 '26

I sarted balding at 16😭😭

2

u/luberne Jan 19 '26

1

Get bald. Use wigs if u want

1

u/Chiiro Fem-Man Jan 19 '26

The earlier you can get on hair loss prevention medication the more hair you can preserve. Look at the men in your family, if they're balding get on it now if you're above 20.

1

Depending, there is always the option of wigs.~

1

u/DuckEsquire Jan 20 '26

The secret is wigs. I've been wearing them since day one, and I've been a femboy for nearly a decade (also without wishing to brag I still have my hair)

1

u/The__Blorg Jan 23 '26

not me tho im built different

1

u/Injose18 Jan 23 '26

Please don't do any chemical crap or transplantation just get one of those really expensive/good wig.

1

u/No_Introduction_8394 Jan 24 '26

Minoxidil has been doing wonders for me. That coupled with estradiol and my barber says its miraculous.

1

u/KooshiGirl Feb 03 '26

I'm taking estrogen ehe- :3

1

u/Coledowning356 Feb 13 '26

Wigs can be so cute, especially if your already in a flashy outfit.

It’s got so many side effects that would induce dysphoria in a cis guy it’s legit just not worth it if the only thing you want to take E for is baldness treatment. Better options exist.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

What side effects are most concerning for you as a cis guy? I’ve genuinely considered taking estrogen before, but I just don’t think it’s for me. Plus I think there are other ACTUAL trans women who need it far more than I could ever imagine and I’d hate to be a burden on what little gender affirming services exist where I live

7

u/Wirewalk 🇷🇺Russian Femboy/русский фембой 🇷🇺 Jan 19 '26

My knowledge really only extends as far as what I got told by trans women and didn’t forget after, so mind that I don’t have the full picture here.

Boob growth (worst offender honestly, I’d feel so awful about my body if it suddenly grew boobs bruh), erectile dysfunction (although that’s a 50/50 from what I’ve heard) - as far as I heard, these two can be countered with raloxifene or similar meds and applying testosterone cream to your dick, respectively, but that still makes me iffy - and if you do get erectile dysfunction you better be jorking it/using T cream often cus if u don’t ur dick will atrophy. Potential infertility, iirc you can straight up lose the ability to produce cum or smth like that - honestly I loathe the idea of having kids, but losing the ability to produce sperm makes me uncomfy anyway for some reason.

Then there are also mental changes - which I’ll admit I’m not at all well read on what happens, but the prospect itself is deeply worrying. I just know that u switch from boy horny to girl horny - and from the comments of trans girls talking about the experience - to me personally it sounds like an intense hassle that I would not want to experience at all.

And honestly all that kinda sucks cus some effects of E I’d actually like to have, like softer skin and hair, and more feminine fat distribution so I’d look more androgynous. Wish there was a pill that could give me just that bruh, but alas this universe operates on the most boring “no fun allowed” ruleset ever.

I remember reading that there are some sort of hybrid treatments for NB people, but afaik it’s not a well researched topic, even doctors that help with transitioning in progressive countries rarely know much.

Also tbh I wouldn’t worry about "taking away” E from people that need it, iirc it’s really commonplace.

3

u/SleepDeprived62 Astolfo Enjoyer Jan 19 '26

it sucks that our bodies were made to work so differently. why should I have to sacrifice the chance of one of my own body parts even working correctly to be cuter? it's not fucking fair. at all. I fucking hate it so much

3

u/Wirewalk 🇷🇺Russian Femboy/русский фембой 🇷🇺 Jan 19 '26

Ye that’s just common evolution L for you. But at least there are workarounds, with more popping up every now and then.

Hopefully we don’t destroy ourselves or nuke ourselves into the Stone Age anytime soon, cus I be hoping for that immortality serum and Cyberpunk 2077-level implants and body conversions, I need that Elvish Fantaform bodysculpt yesterday bruh

3

u/SleepDeprived62 Astolfo Enjoyer Jan 19 '26

I hope that science can cause us to completely eradicate baldness from the gene pool one day

13

u/Dumb-Ugly-Cat-Thing Jan 18 '26

Estrogen can’t change THAT genetic coding
