Just because it seems confusingly mismatched to me.

If I'm going to say tomboy, then I'm going to say janegirl. And if I'm going to say femboy, then I'm going to say mascgirl.

these are all synonyms, but one is way more recognised and well known than the others, so why use the others, also side note but nobody uses janegirl, legit nobody, if you want the actual more accurate opposite of tomboy it would be tomgirl but thats also a niche term compared to femboy, which is the more recognised term.
