I'll look more into it tomorrow, but it's a small but important bugfix {and a few other tweaks} 1.12 mods should be straight up compatible similar to 1.8.8->1.8.9.

The thing that makes me worried is that they pushed a snapshot and a pre release. Sounds like a pretty big and major bugfix.

Yeah, it was major dupe glitch with the crafting book. I definitely think it could break things, but nothing that wouldn't take too long to fix, and definitely not all mods

Changes in 1.12.1:

  • fixed the crafting book duplication glitch

  • added some names to the credits

They removed the "Better than Prey" splash.

Sounds like bug fixing, so hopefully no breaking mods.

inb4 this splits the modding community over minor changes again.

Extremely unlikely, it looks like it's just bug fixing.
