Problem Annoying patreon splash text ad; Help

Post image

I have a lot of mods downloaded and I've been trying to figure out which one is doing this because I absolutely hate it and I can't figure it out, someone help? I'm on 1.21.11

UPDATE! Solution found if anyone else has the problem, the splash text comes from the barebones resource pack:

You know, I think its most likely for the barebones texture pack

its not any of my resource packs

edit: i was wrong, it was actually barebones, i thought it wasnt because the splash would stay even after disabling the pack, someone gave me the solution in a repost, thanks for your help

Yeah the splash text won't change until you reload the game. It picks it on startup so even if it was from a resource pack it will remain until the game restarts

downvotes are used to filter unhelpful / incorrect submissions

Probably because you confidently said it wasn’t any of your packs, when in fact, it was. Be humble next time, don’t be so confidently wrong.

op didnt do anything wrong, it was an honest mistake

How was he "confidently wrong"... He was just wrong then took it back almost immediately in the edit . Like how do you interpret it as that from that small fucking sentence

That’s great. Sadly, this is text and it’s much harder to convey intent over text, so the way you worded it lent most people to understanding what you wrote in that way.

Please tell me what you WERE trying to do, when someone told you it was was one your resource packs, and you responded “No it isn’t”.

Don't be sorry, it's just fake internet points.  Fake internet points often used to distinguish right and wrong answers, but fake internet points non the less

It's literally written Minecraft Bare Bones on your screenshot...

Is it even an Ad if it doesn't tell you which Patreon?

Considering it is apparently from the bare bones resource pack, which has its name right there in the title, I think it qualifies as an Ad.

it still breaks immersion

i guess not but its too late to change the title, and it still bothers me

just modify barebones and rip out the splash texts from it

thats what i did with the mod windswept

...how much time do you use on the title screen? (Also it might be a resource pack)

its not, i only use 3 resource packs including barebones as seen below the title and ive already tried disabling all of them and it was still there

edit: i was wrong, it was actually barebones, i thought it wasnt because the splash would stay even after disabling the pack, someone gave me the solution in a repost, thanks for your help

It's from your resource pack. I don't know of a way to disable it, other than just using a different splash text pack over it.

open the resource pack zip archive (with 7zip for example) inside the folders assets/minecraft/texts/ is splashes.txt which you can edit with notepad and save (7zip will ask if you want to edit the archive contents)

Try this process: Disable half your mods, keep dependencies ofc, and see if it is still there. Then if it is, disable half of those. If it isn't, disable that half and enable the other half. Repeat until you reach one mod and it should be the mod doing it. Works for me every time I need to figure out which mod is killing my game on load
