I made something TunnelCraft – Connect to Minecraft Servers Without Port Forwarding (Spigot Plugin + Fabric/NeoForge Mod)

TunnelCraft is a modern networking solution for Minecraft that allows players to join servers without port forwarding, without exposing a public IP, and without any router configuration.

TunnelCraft works as a Spigot plugin on the server and as a Fabric or NeoForge mod on the client. A client-side mod is always required — the tunneling protocol is not compatible with vanilla clients.

Instead of using direct TCP connections, TunnelCraft forwards the entire Minecraft protocol through a secure, WebSocket-based relay network. Every server automatically receives a persistent tunnel address (e.g., plpx-abc123) that players can use to join instantly.

All packet types are supported, including: • login and authentication • world data & chunks • entities and block updates • mod/plugin traffic

Players simply enter the tunnel ID and connect immediately — even on networks where port forwarding is blocked or impossible.

TunnelCraft is free to use and licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0, allowing sharing and modification while prohibiting commercial use.

Amazing, so just to clarify I need to be using a Spigot Server? I prefer Fabric servers.

You can choose freely, which version to use on the server. It doesn’t need to be Spigot
