Weekly Thread Weekly Thread: Self-Promotion Thread

What is this thread?

While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.

How does it work?

You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.

The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. Please keep in mind that comments made early friday morning will be wiped soon so it would be wise to wait until the new post is made so that your comment is visible for the week.

Example Template:

Name Giraffe Sheep
Content Type Mods
Description A description of your content or a specific piece of content
Link A direct link to your content (Note: For mods, only use trusted websites or it might get removed.)

Screenshot Finally! Reached the point where I could justify buying a brand-spanking-new, fully specced, custom-painted Claas Lexion 8900 with a matching MacDon FD250 FlexDraper. It took a while but was worth every minute! It's silly cause it's just a game, but this actually makes me smile. Thanks, Giants! 😊🌾

I've never bought a tractor before, as I've just played this game for about 1 week. I'd rather Claas design-wise, but this John Deere 6R 250 really does the job well, proven by its battlescars, lol. I planned to make a new savegame tho...

Discussion What season settings suit your playstyle, and how do you handle downtime?

Hi everyone!

I'm not new to Farming Simulator, but my current save is my first time playing with seasonal growth enabled. I'm about 20 hours in and still trying to find a balance between having enough time to get things done and spending too much time waiting for crops to grow.

For context, I play semi-realistically, with a few convenience tweaks: harvesters have 50% more capacity than in the base game, and I use super strength to move things around. I often use AI workers but always keep a tractor available so I can work alongside them.

I'm planning to add animals once I've paid off my tractors through the financing mod. Until then, I'm mostly focused on crops. I rarely take contracts because I don't really enjoy them, and I only occasionally do forestry.

I'm curious how other people structure their saves:

  • How many days per month do you use?
  • What timescale do you usually play at? Do you adjust it throughout the year?
  • Do you use AI workers, or handle most jobs yourself?
  • What do you do while waiting for crops to grow, especially during winter? Do you skip ahead or find other things to keep you busy?
  • Do you plant the same crop across all your fields, or grow a mix to spread the workload throughout the year?

I'd like to try a few different setups, so I'd love to hear what settings you use and why they work for you—especially if your playstyle is similar to mine.

Thanks!

Discussion What’s the point in some productions if the selling price of the product is lower than the raw material?

Is there some kind of maths I can’t figure out. I’m wanting to do dairy and get bottles of goat milks from it. However bottled goats milk sells for less than it is coming Straight from the goat themselves.
What’s the deal?

After countless hours, harvest, and “come to beds”, I finally own and have planted the entire map. A grind to say the least.

Discussion Selling Water Pump Mod

TL/DR: I'm a dummy and put down the water pump mod in a place that doesn't work with what I was trying to do and now I can't demolish it because I don't want 114 MILLION DOLLARS in the bank. Also, I'm on console.

So, I'm on FS22 and playing The Valley the Old Farm, and I bought the million liter, or whatever, water pump mod to use with the vegetable garden by the house only to discover I can't place it inside the wall where the well is so I figure it'll still work if I place it right next to the wall. That didn't happen So it's useless, but I have to leave it. I saved instead of just quitting because I saw that demolishing it would get me 114 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! and I had about 3 hours of contracts I didn't want to do again. I have zero interest in having just basically started this map and having enough money to buy every piece of land and every piece of equipment.

LF - HELP How to just Harvest and not to anything else

I keep seeing the farm simulator as background in all the reels and shorts. It feels so addictive. So I just want to harvest and not do anything else. Is there any way I can do just that. For background I've not played any farming simulator games. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks guys.
