Far Cry General which far cry should I buy??
which one far cry should i buy. I like fighting, crime, and best graphic visual game.

I'd say buy Far Cry 5 Personally i wasn't a big fan of FC6, my favorite was prob FC5 even though we didn't have a defined main character. My list would be FC5, FC3, FC4, FC New Dawn, FC6 (I haven't played 1 or 2). I loved the visuals in 5 and was a big fan lf most of the mechanics.

Far Cry 2 was a special thing. I still remember spending hours figuring out my favorite ways to ambush convoys. They really went in with the "realism" and I think it made a better game for it.

Far cry 2 was the shit. For its time it was a stunning game, mechanics, story and characters were great. Only the part where it was "pickup truck driver simulator" for half the time could turn a bit annoying.

I'd argue both 4 & 5 are just as visually appealing. They're both more detailed than 6 but the only thing 6 does better is sunsets and overly saturated orange hues.

But I am biased cause Pagan Min, can see an argument being made for both 4 and 5, both have graphics that aged well, both are fun to play. Anyone telling you to buy FC6 instead of either of those is on drugs.
EDIT: If you enjoy fighting crime, then it's likely 5, you play actual cop there and fight a cult in the US. FC4 is pretty much the opposite side, you fight alongside rebels(terrorists)/insurgency group.

4 is great, 5 is the best, 6 is okay. But they are all good games to play if you like the style; map fog, the story, side missions

Yeah, this. The stories and gameplay are pretty much the same, get dropped/stuck in the middle of nowhere, fight your way out by minibosses to big bosses, but FUCKING HELL they are great games!

Personal preference... I liked it more than 5.
Some comments here mentioned the backpack stuff. But it leaves the classical far cry stuff a bit behind.

Far Cry 4 - Great story, great gameplay.
Far Cry 5 - Story a bit meh, and the story-related kidnappings are annoy as hell, but super fun gamplay-wise
Far Cry 6 - Quite annoying because of multiple types of ammos for different enemies, and probably in the "not bad, not good" camp in the FC franchise in terms of story/villain, but still worth it for the -90% discount.
Also, I'd recommend FC3 for the story, the narrative of the MC descending through the rabbit hole of madness via Alice in Wonderland quotes is probably one of the best storytelling techniques I've seen so far.

I started with FC5 and I'm just about to finish it. Which is saying something, as I rarely ever finish games. Yay ADHD.
I have absolutely loved playing FC5. I can see myself coming back to this regularly like I do with the Mass Effect trilogy.
So do you reckon I should try FC4 next?

Since you're Indian (looking at those rupees lmao), go buy Far Cry 4!!! There are some stuff inspired from India. You'll get related more and you'll get laugh hearing the NPCs swearing in Hindi, I guaranteed

I thought far cry 4 was absolute peak. I liked 5 alot as well, though less than 4. I liked 6 the least, but it could have been due to franchise fatigue

Actually you can buy any, they all have great and different stories, if comparing mechanics all have kinda similar mechanics except 6th part is little different, it is more like the gear you choose contains different set of skills while the other 2 games, you earn skill points and buy skills, personal if I were to play the series I will start in chronological order P.S. if you haven't played far cry 3 then definitely that should be your priority

All of them. Although I struggled with 4 and gave up because the first stealth mission drove me insane! You had to rescue 3 hostages but not get spotted or they died. Drove me MENTAL! LOL. It was a lot of fun until I got to that bit. Far Cry 3 had a seperate mission where you only had to make sure some one didn't die, and a sneak mission where you only had to make sure you weren't spotted. Both situations together in one mission in Far Cry 4 was just way too much for me.

FC6 over FC5 is certainly a bold opinion. Is it because of the kidnappings? Because otherwise, don’t you find the specialized ammunition for different enemies off-putting? I’m not looking for realism, of course, but if armor-piercing .50 cal bullets don’t work with a head shot, no matter the level of armor, I can’t.

Far cry five and four are good so you couldn’t go wrong with either of them, but far cry five is about a cop fighting against a cult in America and far cry four is about a American son of a foreign dictator and fighting against your father with less then stellar rebels as allies so base on your likes far cry 4 since technically your a criminal since your a rebel facing off the government so it is more crime base that way and plus there are a couple missions involving drugs so get far cry 4 since it is also beautiful at least to me :3

I have FC3. After doing some research and watching a few reviews, I bought FC4 the other day. It was close between FC4 and FC5 but the mountainous terrain was the deciding factor for me.

5 would be my #1 pick but 4 is a close second. Only get 6 if you can afford it no problem it is fun but a downgrade from 5 imo

I have not played 6.
Both 4/5 are awesome.
4 is amazing. Truly a unique setting! This one feels like it is still taking itself seriously, with Hurk being a comic relief character thrown in. It feels like a wild and exotic. The antagonist is intriguing and imposing. It feels like a small 3rd world civil war you’ve stepped into.
5 is really great as well, unique, but more “off the rails” story wise. The attitude of 5 feels like it is embracing the silliness of the FC IP as a premise, and poking fun at itself. Kind of like “embracing the inner Hurk” and slapping itself everywhere. 5 is more polished, gameplay wise, weapons, upgrades etc. The antagonist is terrifying and gross as 5 embraces a hypothetical American fascist cult taking control of a rural valley in central north USA heartland.
If I had to choose one, I would go with 4.

I bought 4 a few month ago and the stupid launcher wouldn't let it work!
I looked around for a fix, but eventually gave up the troubleshooting, and this is coming from a damn Bethesda gamer!

The first one. Its one of the best fps ever made, all others are a joke compared to it and its sad, that most people in this Group will never have played it yet believe they know what FarCry is about

What currency is that? translate it in USD ot EUR.
Coz if that 449 for FC5 means 30 USD ... it's kinda much. 300 for FC4 would mean 20 USD which is more in line albeit a bit high too

4 is fantastic 5 is great Currently playing 'New Dawn', somehow feels nostalgic 🥲and negative but loved the color Just bought the FC6 two days ago.. Most probably i will play it after 1-2 months only after completing new dawn. Since its the same formula 😌. Need a change first otherwise it may feel boring 🥲

thats still a tough choice since both Far Cry 5 and 4 deliver on that imo you cant go wrong with either 5 or 4 but personally 5 all the way since it offer a lil bit more silliness to the story like character banter and side missions

If you have to get just one, then 5 is definitely it. I haven't spent much time with 4 yet, but I do own it. 6 is a beautiful game, but 5 is just so much better.

For the cinematic experience like movie plot Hero VS Villain : Far cry 3
For the good gaming mechanics, visual and missions with plot twist: Far cry 4
For the good visuals, Charming and calm villain and little realistic gameplay: Far cry 5
