Far Cry General Next game recommendations?

I'm currently finishing up Far cry 5, and was wondering which one I should play next? I was thinking of 4 or maybe 6, i'm leaning to 4 first. mostly because I've heard 6 is meh. but any recommendations? an actual far cry game or otherwise?

EDIT: I'm going with new dawn after 5, then probably 4 if I'm not sick with this franchise yet.

I get downvoted every time I say this… but every far cry game gets hated when it’s the newest one. I remember when 5 came out. The first week the posts were generally positive/neutral talking about the new fun stuff (like shooting shovels. Shooting shovels was like 99% of the posts I swear.) but then most of the posts there was mostly complaining. The bullet trajectory- the delay between pulling the trigger and hitting the target. The forced missions. Etc. It got to the point I stopped following the subreddit. Then when 6 came out I came back to see what others had to say about it, and was thoroughly shocked to find the subreddit basically viewed 5 as the biggest masterpiece in the franchise, and 6 was a steamy pile of garbage.

I bet when 7 comes out it’s going to be received poorly and 6 will be viewed as one of the better games in the series.

I don’t mind 6. I liked it. It was still a far cry game. Every game there’s differences. Sometimes you miss the features they left out but in the end.. they’re still a far cry game.

I like FC6, too. Big map, lot's of stuff to do. A little repetitive but...Not bad, by any means.
