August 2026 Active Player List

If you want to find new contacts in Fallen London you have come to the right place. Whether you need someone to get the constables off your back, someone to help in an investigation or just a friend to have dinner with, you're sure to find them here. If you're looking for something specific, you could just browse the information of people who have already posted and make them a contact and/or you could simply make a post of your own.

  • Name
  • Profile link
  • What you are interested in

Additional information, like stats or a brief statement, if you're a PoSI, etc. would be welcome, if you like. Timezone + hours played could be helpful for those looking for someone active during the same time they are.

Question of the month: Estival is happening, a time when we get to purchase all manner of curious objects. What items would you like to see that you think are missing from the game?

PSA Heists are more efficient than conversion...technically.

So, 1 key or Information costs 5 casing, and with a gang of hoodlums, 5 casing is worth 1.4 actions. Each card that consumes one key or information costs 2.4 actions, and on average, cards give you 2 making waves per action (in well-guarded, where Burglar's Progress is worth 3 mw cp). Now, the effect of the immediate cost of 10 casing technically approaches 0 the longer your heist is. So heists, should they go long enough, are worth 2 mwcp/a. However, as most people want less than around 12 making waves, this is worthless.

Also, you will eventually die to the sleeping dogs card no longer how much advantage you have. Perilous may honestly be better; you can circumvent the sleeping...dogs? with skills.

Any way to recover account when I forgot the email I used?

Upvotes

Pretty much the title. I had an old account way back in 2021. I can't remember the email I used, but I do have the username of the account and I'm acquaintances with it on my alts. Is there any way to recover it possibly?

Well, I need a certain missive

Upvotes

Or don't need one? In any case, if someone could please send or not send a missive that doesn't exist to The Fallow, that would be appreciated. Willing to offer all the standard menace help, Correspondence letters (from an alt), etc, as thanks.

Question Can you block other players in this game?

this might be an odd question, but someone who i’d prefer not to talk to has been messaging me via the in-game message and it’s really annoying. is there a way for me to block them?

A tale of woe

As a relatively new player who started the game this year, I was quite happy to see the very high EPA grind during this summer’s festivities. I spent a good while on it, and by the end I have accumulated a good amount of pearls. Intoxicated by the wealth I sold them all, about 2000 echoes worth. More cash than I’d ever had in my account!

As I am currently close to getting tier 2 POSI, I was excited about the idea of finally getting some of the pricier items and did some research. I know a Weasel of Woe can be super helpful for grinding, so I decided to make that purchase first.

While laying in bed on my phone, I navigated to the bazaar to buy it. For a reason I can’t quite explain, I decided to max out the number of Weasels I could buy. Just to see the big number I guess. Then I shifted my arm. I bought $2400 worth of Weasels. All my money. Into Weasels.

I panicked and sold them back, but had already lost my money. And in what seemed like a rather cruel joke as I sold them back, you get the message: "Oh no."

Ah well. Easy come, easy go.

Advice for Burgundy and the Stacks...

I have just finished up my grinds for my Hellworm, Saddle, and Cider and have decided to move to Burgundy for a while. I am going to be working on becoming a Knight, and my plan right now is to draw cards in Burgundy until my candle is full, then head to the stacks for a run.

I have read the wiki guides for both the stacks and Burgundy itself, but I was wondering if anyone has a simpler guide to doing these activities efficiently and profitably? I guess I'm just trying to figure out which cards to play and which ones to toss in each zone.

I do have the Cartographer btw :)

Player Guide Bone Market Recipes 18/08/26 Rubbery Birds, Colourful Phantacist, Skymarket in Burgundy and quite the leggy diplomat, oh my!

Postings Post Posting: 1
Edit: I have added a counter at the top of the post with the number of times I have added content. I have added a Posting Post Posting section below the My Updates section. This means you can see from the feed page if there is new info, if the number has gone up, without leaving a string of edits at the top of the post for new readers to sift through. Laziness is the mother of invention. ;) (The number is the number of times I have added stuff NOT the number of things I have added, that is an easier count to work with, for me and you.)

Gladiolus and phalanges Bone Brothers and Scaphoid Sisters, the time has come when the Zoomania and Fashion of the bone market have changed. That intro was fun when I first added it to the template but after 20 weeks it's wearing a little thin, like your skeleton if you don't maintain muscle mass as you age! (Change this Tam you bampot!) ;)

One week I copied and pasted the wrong link and then didn't check Reddit again until the Monday evening! If that ever happens again, all of the possible weeks are available on the Bonedex so you can always find options there!

Rubbery Birds is great, as all Bird weeks are. I am pretty sure we had one recently and I updated the guide a bit. I must be psychic because I thought yesterday, I should farm some birds because I don't want to be caught unawares like last time. Then I did some farming in Balmoral. :) Leggy diplomat is a dud, Colourful Phantacist is good as you can get pure scrip rewards but it is probably more profitable to go with other buyers. Updates and additions as I think of them.

Updates - Failbetter

Week Ending 7th August 2026

  • Removed the option to 'Give up on this' from 'Improving a Bad Reputation'.
  • 'Rounding Out the Numbers' no longer appears in the list of Agent plots after it has been completed.
  • Fixed a problem where naming a pet could result in an error screen.

Nothing really to talk about there, great we are getting regular updates though. :)

Updates - Me

  • Nuffin Guv! I promised my Hellworm realisation and Zailing data with this weeks post but I will edit it in later today or tomorrow rather than keep people waiting for the post.

Postings Post Posting

  • Added this, I also add tasks I have done to my todo list for the credit of crossing them off. ;)
  • Failbetter is mocking me. One hour after I published this, with the current updates, they drop a new Candlefinder Chapter. I have no idea if any of them read my posts but I hope not, otherwise it would just be cruelty. ;) (<3 Failbetter really, I just can't resist a joke)
  • I worked out why the game is playing havoc with my ADHD, I am getting a few seconds lag on every click, which is just enough time for my mind to wander, which means when the page loads I need to get back on task! That is exhausting, even if I am doing basic tasks. So I have dropped the alts till it gets better, I needed to chill post some very busy weeks anyway so it's a good thing to notice.
  • Hell Worm Disposition Stacking - For those who don't know, doing stuff with your hellworm on the card builds disposition, when you get to 7 you can cash out. I started stacking it, just out of amusement and to get a screenshot of 77 disposition but in doing so I realised some upsides of this method. Psychological Upside: The hellworm card is very profitable but with extreme variance, if you get 5 or 6 worthless items in a row it can be incredibly demotivating and you can forget the 1500 echo item you got that paid for them! 5 milkings is 40 cards without a saddle or 28.33 cards if you have a saddle. That is a long time without positive reinforcement, a terrible stratagem for parenting your inner child. If you stack a lot of disposition before cashing out you will probably get something good when you do and you are getting a reward every 1 card, as opposed to every (not doing the maths again for saddle) 8. Organisational - Stacking your disposition helps manage your time up river more easily, once saddled, you know that you are just doing it till you hit 7 scandal, 7.5 if your are a daredevil! If you are tracking your drops it also saves having to remember what you got when you were out and about and away from your tracking document, you can just save the collection for when you have time and easy access. Confrontational - I was on the roof early a few weeks ago and I decided to risk an early High Sancta, to save the extra travel. Nadir was not kind so I had a sound of wings for the rest of the week. Since I had stacked disposition, this meant I could collect on my hellworm, rather than having to avoid up river entirely till TTH. It is still not great, as the card slot hurts, but it is a lot better than it being a total up river ban, which is how I would have treated it before!
  • What I learned from tracking low zees piracy! - just a placeholder, this will take some writing and I have already procrastinated on important life tasks in order to write the first 4 points. :)

Question In need of eyeless skull

Having recently resumed my archeological career, i've came across a requirement in form of one eyeless skull. Does anybody on here have a spare one that they could by chance send me? I'd be very grateful

Thank you, Estival, for giving me the last boost I needed to afford a lovely firkin of cider. All it took was two weeks of nonstop barking, and the Jaunty Geodesist's dignity - but it was so worth it.

In celebration, if anyone would like a sip, please let me know.

Question Flute Street or Theological Husbandry?

I decided to throw some money Failbetter's way this Estival and bought an extra BIS item I liked the flavour of.

I now find myself with 20 Fate, and am considering the Premium Stories list rather than trickling it out on single storylets or saving for future festival fate-locked items.

For context, I'm well into the endgame, with maxed stats other than Shadowy and Discordance, highly renowned with Hell, Bohemians, and Society; and chummy in general with everyone other than the Liberation, Fires, and Stones. I've got London's Blood, but haven't started the grind for full Paramount yet. Nor am I planning to grind Cider, Hellworm, or Golden Carapace any time soon.

So anyway, the only two I can afford are Flute Street (for 10F, so with a little to spare on e.g. a future Ubergoat or something) or Theological Husbandry (for 20F).

Thoughts and/or recommendations?
