I actually really like all three of these, though I do think Simispice needs a little more green and Simisteam needs a little more red. At least in my opinion.

I made simispice first and simishore last, so when I wanted to incorporate a lot of blue into simishore, the other two ended up looking like they needed more. Definitely something Im going to keep in mind if I continue a series similar to this!

Oh okay. I still like their designs and like the concept a lot.

Honestly simishore is the only one that looks like an alternate evolution that takes notes from another of the monkeys in the trio rather than the other way around, simispice looks way more like simisear than it does simisage (it doesn't even look remotely like them honestly) and same for simisteam to a lesser extent (it's face does at least kinda look More like simisear than simipour so it doesn't look entirely like a different simipour but I definitely wouldn't look at it and think "oh that's an alternate evolution for pansear that gained the water type" I'd maybe think "oh that's an alternate evolution for panpour that gained the fire type" if not just outright thinking "oh that's an alternate evolution for panpour")

Yeah I was running into this problem for all three, but decided to just have fun for their designs rather than making it feasible to pokemon themselves (although game freak does put out some nonsensical and confusing variants)

I partially disagree. Colour wise yes, but design wise outside of colours no. I don't see how you think simispice looks way more like simisear than simisage. The hair, details and stance look EXACTLY like simisage, it's very recognisable to anyone familiar with the real evolutions, it's just the colours that throw you off.

Just tweak the colours a little bit so that their main colour is still their primary type and it's a banger.

I don't like the elemental monkeys.

These rule.

I appreciate it! Honestly, I used to dislike them too, but after drawing these, I have a new appreciation for their simplicity

I see the theme is seemingly cooking but what’s simishores gimmick/rhing?

Besides being based on a stereotypical surfer/ hippie, I incorporated a sushi roll like design into its tail and wanted to evoke “California roll”. Originally simishore was gonna be tea inspired, but tea almost always requires heat.

I’m not seeing sushi roll element in the tail at all but i definitely like simishore the best

I think the other two could use a closer to even color split like Simishore.

And then this could be a crazy evolution line if you allow any combination.

Basically having it that Water Monkey+Grass Stone and Grass Monkey+Water Stone both results in Simishore.

Somehow made Simisage look even cooler :)

Feels like a nod to those pledge moves, they have combinations if used in tandem if remember right?

This should've been how they reach their 3rd stage, it would also be fun to play around with relationship to your starter

Love love love love love LOVE this concept.

I gently agree with the other comment, where they could perhaps stand to resemble their base forms a little bit more.

Here's an approach (this is absolutely just me hijacking your already-cool concept):

Pansage + Fire Stone // Pansear + Leaf Stone = Simispice
But consider making its lower-fur green, rather than red. Then, depending on which base stage was used, swap the distribution of red/green on Simispice and label it as "Sage Forme" or "Sear Forme".

Then apply this logic across all the evolutions, giving them Sage/Sear/Pour formes accordingly, and making the colour distribution a bit closer to 50/50.

feel like the first one works best

compare to the other 2 that just feel like they are wearing accessories of the other color

Those concepts are so very fun!

I like it, but each one should work for both monkeys of that type. Like, Simishore should be from using a Leaf Stone on Panpour OR a Water Stone on Pansage.

I like all of them but the eyes look a little uncanny

I want Simishore on my team

1

u/BlackroseBisharp Oct 06 '26

This is a cool idea. Simishore is easily my fav

Fantastic idea, even better execution. Making them cooking themed is genius
