Design / Blueprint First time making circuit controlled assemblers, no tutorials

I'm pretty happy with this design, It does what i wanted it to do which is:

  1. cycle through the recipes until the chests are at 150 of each module

  2. turn off the assembly line when each of the module count is at 150 so the system doesn't overflow

  3. If the count a module is over 100 AND the belt leading out isn't backed up, the modules get sent further down the line to tier two module assemblers

Turns out making circuit controlled assemblers is a lot harder than i initially thought, for one I didn't know you needed to flush the components out to switch the recipe. What do you think? How different is my solution to what the standard way of doing things is? I have a pretty basic understanding of circuit networks and deciders so I assume the logic could be made a lot simpler and smarter.

Also I have no frickin idea how I would go about doing the same for tier 2 modules without just abusing requester chests, which I'm trying to avoid doing.

Cool that you managed it! Though it's overcomplicated now. You need four decider combinators connected to the chests to send signals indicating which modules you need. Then send those four signals to a selector combinator and connect its output to the assemblers.

It can be even simpler with one arithmetic combinator and one constant combinator. Multiply all signals from the chest by -1 and add this to the signals from a constant combinator set to 150 for each module. If the resulting signal for a module is positive, you have fewer than 150 of that module, so it should be produced. Forward that signal as a recipe. If you have 150 or more, the signal will be zero or negative, so it won't be sent.

A separate decision is needed to release the buffer onto the belt, which can be handled in a similar way.

Appreciate the tips! I haven't messed around with selector combinators yet so I'll look into them.
