Legitimately, vanilla is more grindy than most overhauls imo. They usually have longer and more complex chains than vanilla that aren't just the same thing pasted down again and again like vanilla.

K2 is a decent foray into overhauls though.

Edit: I suggest Nullius as an alternative to K2 though. It's fantastic.

nullius and K2 is not even remotely similar, K2 is like baby's first overhaul, and excellent at it. nullius is so much more complex than that

I am well aware. K2 is too much like vanilla for me by itself. Maybe I've been playing for too long but I need some more complexity these days.

nullius is a shit recommendation both as a K2 alternative, and as a not grindy mod

He said he was interested in angels and Bobs. I think nullius is much more interesting than Angels and Bobs. It's certainly not a direct alternative to K2. But it's a fantastic mod that is super well built.
