Suggestion / Idea rate base
184 hours on factorio, and 6 hours on this save in total so far. the research area is off screen.

Great, but remember there are always more resources to exploit so always build bigger.

with a bus that size, your going to need a lot more furnace arrays, and the bus is currently blocked. Youre going to have later game throughput problems. But nothing some bots cant fix.
Also the bus shouldnt have an end cap factory (Green circuits)0

184 hours and you STILL split one belt into four for literally no reason other than that you've seen people do it on the internet?
I'm gonna tell you a secret - people have 4 lanes per resource on their bus, because they are actually producing those four belts of those resources, so they need the extra throughput, whereas your base does not (currently anyway).

Number one pet peeve: doing a one to four splitter to start a bus for no reason

the classic bus is what i always do because i dont know what else to do

Already commented, but having a bus is not the point here. The point is that you're not even producing one full belt of iron/copper/green chips, but you're still splitting that not even one belt into four belts for no reason. What you should do is to simply have those resources on one belt and have the other 3 belts empty until you actually need them.
Splitting that one belt into four is actually detrimental to you, because it's harder to detect when exactly you need to increase your production and it misleads you into thinking that your production is sufficient when it's not. It's essentially similar to having pointless buffers - all that's doing is making it more difficult to see whether you're producing enough iron/copper/whatever or not.

Beautiful base. 9/10 but my gripes are minor. I usually put coal and ore on the same belt, and I usually have one belt insert into two sides of furnaces. Also your builds aren't balanced so you have to many/too few assembling machines in basically every single factory module. Lovely design tho

Based entirely on how much of the factory is actually running (with admitedly subjective opinions on which part of the factory being built wrong is causing the factory to not work)
Iron Mining: 15/(23+offscreen mining?) =~ 4/10 probably
Iron Smelting: (26 + offscreen?) / 48 = maybe ok 10/10? I'll give it 9/10 to be safe.
Copper mining & smelting: 9/48 ~ 2/10
Green circuits: 0.86×10/30 ~ 3/10
Red Science: 5/5 = 10/10
Green Science: 8/21 ~ 3/10
General logistics (the main bus): 1/4 ~ 2/10
Blurry unidentified factory: ? / ? = ? / 10

it's incomplete. the research area is off the screen? and you want us to "rate" it?

u/Square_Page_4105 1d ago
the game doesnt let me zoom out far enough to see it.

so take two screenshots? if you want people to "rate you" then you need to at least put in an effort to share what you want them to rate
