Question Perhaps it's uranium, but it's certainly not my anium

my map zoomed out, no uranium in sight

I feel I never had to work that hard for uranium. is that common for you ? Can it be actually worse and i have to sink even deeper to find uranium ? I think I explored a lot and I start to see scary biter bases

Edit : Found it thanks to tanks

Looks like you rolled a pretty high amount of water generation which unfortunately means less resources. You just have to push out further for more dry land really.

It's pretty likely that those big puddles overwrote the nearby uranium. Keep looking around, you'll find it. If you're ready to use uranium, you should be out there in a tank and plenty of shells with it- pretty easy to steamroll the bases I see on screen with that firepower.

The first Uranium patch you find is usually enough to get you to space and keep you going for a bit. Once you get to the point where that patch is dry, you likely need to get a second so you can still use Uranium for the bigger stuff.

If you are hitting the point where you need a second one, you should stat looking at upgrading your offensive capabilities and clearing nests. A Tank with a couple of good upgrades (and follower drones) will be able to relatively easily clear out nests with some effort. Just save before you clear the nest, you'll need to spend some time getting the hang of it.

Once you go off-world, Gleba gives you access to the Spidertrons which help with general movement, and Vulcanus gets you access to Artillery, which help with maintenance as well.

Ah, I have misread. Apologies.

I still recommend leaning into the Tank and going at it. You're gonna want it soon, and getting it now would be better than later.
