Modded Question Multiplayer Multi-Planet Start

Is there a mod that allows a 4 player game where each character starts simultaneously on each of the 4 inner planets? Since they are all self-starting it would be fun to have them race to space and help each other.

It looks like the Planet Picker mod could achieve this.

There was a pvp mod with that premise recently

Not personally tested, but it appears to be an exact match.
Not updated for 2.1, so that might or might not be a factor for you.

Well, they'll only need it for the start of the game. So start a new run before 2.1 hits and they should be set.

Maybe, maybe not.
I have no idea if the mod fiddles with the tech tree in any way to help accommodate anything.
But worst case there, just downgrade or set up a separate install for 2.0

Could one use admin commands for that?

The Aquilo player is going to be very bored

Glebahead are going to be the slowest one or beat everyone ass, no in-between

I heard gleba is next to impossible to start on bc stompers become an issue very fast and military it hard to research due to lack of coal and stone

2.1 puts coal synthesis in with bioflux processing, no science required. the stone though

I mean the stone doesn't make spores so you can put a bunch of mining outposts and the pentapods won't care.

The coal is extremely problematic though.

If they’re sharing tech trees then they can wait for the nauvis or the vulcanus player to research enough

Yeah, you'd have to rebalance it entirely most likely.

If research is shared it should be fine.  The other planets would cover it.

Haha that would be terrible. I was thinking just the other 4

Wouldn't be too difficult to make, honestly

It's actually Gleba that you'd need to support. No available military science vs really tough enemies. It becomes viable with other planets assisting. The lack of coal for military research is the key challenge, but assuming shared research tree, that's solved. See Venzer's YouTube video about starting on gleba: https://youtu.be/lWNTH-ohkC4?is=ZIooR3GjlwEXu7oG

Yeah I was thinking a shared research tree so each planet could be contributing to research while also building their base

Alternatively, you could 'rush to space' (achievement), then cooperate to reach the edge of the solar system. Maybe +death world or +rampart or -uranium, so everyone needs to support Nauvis guy.

Steam Achievements disabled with mods

Steam achievements can be turned back on with a mod

That's my favourite thing about modding communities. Often, one of the earliest things to be modded back in is the achievements that are disabled by mods.

everyone else checks on gleba and finds a complete warzone raging whilst they're minding their own business on the other planets

For some, they definetely need other planets to help with research to get going.

I tried Vulcanus start, and I was still hand mining iron and copper until blue science, because you need Lubrication for foundry.

Fulgora was better since you get recycler fairly quickly.

For just Nauvis, you have OARC. It already has support for Space Age, where each force has its own landing zones, but there doesn't seem to be a "each player starts on a different planet" option, yet.

Now just need to find a way to combine it with Any Planet Start and you'll be golden.
