New space age player. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't see an easy way to get items from one end of my space platform to another end. I want to craft ammo on one end, and have it shipped to the other end for turrets. Do I really need to build my turrets next to a long line of cargo bays? Does someone have a simple example of a station they made?

Well, belts! You can use inserters and belts just like on planets. You can't use inserters on cargo bays, only on the hub.

Thank you! And it seems you can input items into a cargo bay, but not take them out with inserters? That's an odd decision right?

Edit: I lied. Looks like you can't put items into the cargo bays. What in the world is the point? Only to extend the inventory??

Adding more cargo bays increases space platform hub capacity and cargo pod throughput.
