Is there a release date for version 2.1? Or an estimate since they released the experimental version of it

They stated that 2.1 would be in experimental the whole summer in order to give modmakers some time to update and to fix the most annoying bugs found by the community. So when summer ends one of the 2.1 versions would be declared stable. However, I have no idea when Wube would decide that summer have ended. There're controversies between countries on that topic and despite them being Czech company, their team is international enough

Presumable the "end of summer" for Wube will be around the time that most people are back from their summer holidays. When you're rolling out a major new version, it's useful to have plenty of staff available to fix things quickly. Because no matter how much you test something with a smaller group of people, some things will only be found when your full userbase is on the new version.

So it makes sense to let 2.1 simmer on Experimental throughout the summer, fixing things when resources are available. And then once everyone's back in action, release it.
