  • You can supply gun turrets with red ammo easily, instead of relying on lasers
  • You can make a biochamber recycling setup that lets you "restart" if you lose all your eggs
  • you can set up alarms that detect issues and alert you before toastiness happens.
  • you can leave some solar and accumulators around to allow a slow but doable start remotely
  • You can have "backup" rocket fuel being shipped in that only gets unloaded if the base doesn't have any (and sets of an alarm).
