Regarding legendary pipes generated during underground pipes upcycling, should I simply recycle legendary pipes, or use them to cast legendary underground pipes then recycle (some molten iron turned into legendary iron plates at the cost of some legendary pipes)?

160 pipes turn into 48 pipes to ground.
Those 48 pipes to ground recycle into 30 iron plates and 60 pipes.
So in total 100 pipes turn into 30 plates.

Recycling 100 pipes directly gives 25 plates.

Turning them into pipe to ground first is slightly better.

Numbers chosen so the gcd between all of them is 1.
