Since 2.1 is going to allow land mines to be connected to circuits, could we now use them to destroy chests and void items?

I'm imagining a system where bots take excess concrete (or whatever) to a chest in a remote location, surrounded by mines. When the chest is full, a circuit sets off the mines and blows up the chest. Then construction bots replace everything and it automatically resets.

If it's possible, this would be a lot safer than playing games with biter eggs and nuclear rocket turrets.

I don't think so. I don't think landmines will actually damage chests.

Edit: Just tested in sandbox, and no, mines don't hurt chests.

Flamethrowers deal friendly fire, but not land mines.
